About the role
In this Fleet Assistant position based in Gelang Patah, you will serve as a critical support pillar for our logistics operations in the region. You will work in close collaboration with the Station Head to uphold the highest standards of efficiency and meticulous organization within our daily parcel handling and delivery workflows. This role demands a proactive mindset as you take ownership of organizing driver routes using both manual planning and zonal routing methodologies. You will be instrumental in ensuring that every parcel moves through the station seamlessly and reaches its destination without delay or disruption. Your responsibilities will extend to managing routine station tasks, which include providing accurate tracking updates, meticulous parcel handling, and processing banking for cash-on-delivery transactions. Maintaining immaculate station facilities and ensuring all equipment remains in good working order will also fall under your direct responsibility. What you'll do
- Organize driver routes using manual or zonal routing methods to optimize delivery sequences.
- Help the Station Head oversee daily station activities to ensure parcels are processed and delivered without delay.
- Manage routine station tasks including tracking updates, parcel handling, and banking for cash-on-delivery transactions with precision.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the Station Head to ensure compliance and traceability.
- Keep the station facilities clean and in good working order to support a safe and productive operational environment.
- Follow all internal standard operating procedures and the company code of conduct to uphold professional standards.
- Participate in safety, quality management, and health programs, including training and induction sessions to continuously improve practices.
- Adhere to all safety protocols to protect yourself and your colleagues from potential hazards.
- Utilize route planning software and systems to assist in the efficient allocation of delivery paths.
- Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure service consistency.
- Ensure strict compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards during all operational activities.
- Support adherence to Good Distribution Practice for Medical Devices (GDPMD) compliance where applicable to operations.
- Act as a liaison for addressing operational queries and ensuring clear communication across the team.
- Assist in the resolution of routine logistical issues to minimize disruptions in the delivery chain.
Requirements
- You must be aged between 18 and 45 years old to ensure you meet the legal and operational requirements of the role.
- You are required to possess a minimum qualification of an SPM certificate or a Diploma in any discipline to demonstrate foundational knowledge.
