As a Lead Generation Intern, you will support the sales and business development team in identifying and qualifying potential merchant partners who can benefit from the Ninja Van delivery platform. This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced logistics environment where over 35,000 merchants rely on the service to deliver more than 1,000 parcels every minute across six countries, and you will gain exposure to algorithm-based optimisation, dynamic routing, end-to-end tracking, and a data-driven approach that serves both shippers and end customers effectively.

What you'll do
- Assist the sales team in researching and identifying new merchant businesses that could benefit from Ninja Van delivery services across Southeast Asia.
- Reach out to prospective merchants through email and phone to introduce the logistics platform and explain how it can streamline their delivery operations.
- Qualify incoming leads by assessing merchant needs, expected delivery volumes, and geographic coverage requirements before passing them to the sales team.
- Maintain and update a customer relationship management database with accurate information on all prospect interactions, notes, and follow-up activities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop outreach materials and presentations that effectively communicate the value of Ninja Van services to potential partners.
- Support the onboarding process for newly signed merchants by preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with internal operations and technology teams.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity in the logistics sector to uncover new business opportunities and inform the lead generation strategy.
- Attend regular team meetings and contribute constructive ideas for improving the lead generation process, outreach methods, and overall conversion rates.
- Help organize virtual and in-person events that showcase Ninja Van delivery capabilities to prospective business clients and industry stakeholders.
- Monitor key performance indicators related to lead volume, response rates, and pipeline progression, and report findings to the sales leadership team weekly.
- Coordinate with the operations team to understand delivery capacity and service coverage areas for different merchant segments and regions.
- Research and compile a list of target industries and business types that align with Ninja Van service offerings in the Southeast Asian market.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with proficiency in additional Southeast Asian languages considered a valuable asset.
- Comfortable with cold outreach activities and confident in engaging with business stakeholders over the phone or through email correspondence.
- Basic proficiency in spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data entry, tracking, and reporting purposes.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple leads simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn about logistics operations, technology platforms, and the challenges involved in last-mile delivery across the region.
- Availability to commit to a full-time or part-time internship for a minimum duration of three months during the academic year.
- Located in or willing to relocate to Taguig, Philippines for the full duration of the internship period.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in sales, business development, or customer acquisition roles, even if gained through volunteer or campus activities.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot and a willingness to learn new platforms quickly.
- Understanding of e-commerce logistics and the common challenges that merchants face when managing their own delivery operations independently.
- Demonstrated interest in technology startups and the logistics industry, particularly those operating in the Southeast Asian market.
- Basic knowledge of digital marketing channels and lead generation strategies that can be applied to merchant outreach efforts.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting using tools like Google Analytics or similar platforms is a welcomed skill.
