Responsibilities
- Architect, prioritise, develop, and validate daily control frameworks, including reconciliations for positions, trades, cash, and regulatory reporting across a diverse set of financial instruments.
- Provide critical operational support and contribute to infrastructure development, collaborating with technology departments and external providers to establish efficient, scalable workflows for current and future business lines.
- Analyse discrepancies in electronic affirmation platforms such as Traiana, CTM, TRM/Harmony, MarkitWire, and PB portals.
- Maintain rigorous oversight of post-trade procedures executed by third-party administrators, ensuring robust escalation protocols.

Position Details

Location: Newcastle
- Engagement model: Full-time position within a joint venture involving Oliver Wyman and Rokos Capital Management.
- Compensation package: Annual salary of 85,000 GBP in the first year, increasing to 95,000 GBP in the second year, and 105,000 GBP in the third year.
Daily Activities
You will own the full analytics lifecycle for this position, managing intake procedures, constructing control mechanisms, assessing results, and delivering insights. Your work will involve close partnership with business users to translate operational needs into technical strategies. You will design intake workflows for reconciliations across a spectrum of financial categories. You will build daily control suites by coordinating with vendors and technical teams to create scalable process infrastructure. Reviewing breaks on platforms such as Traiana, CTM, TRM, Harmony, and PB portals will be a regular task. You will ensure clear escalation paths for post-trade oversight managed by external administrators. Partnering with business users to convert requirements into technical solutions that enhance operational clarity is a core function. You will produce timely, accurate reporting to support decision-making across multiple financial domains. Challenging existing systems and processes through technical innovation will help achieve shared objectives.
Requirements
Candidates must possess over five years of operational experience in buy-side or banking environments. An undergraduate degree in a relevant subject is required. Professional communication with teams and clients is mandatory. Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and the agility to uncover opportunities in complex settings are essential.
