About the role
Neptune North seeks an HR Operations Analyst to administer and optimize core HR processes within Workday, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of employee lifecycle workflows. The successful candidate will own the configuration and execution of HRIS operations, driving efficiency and data integrity across the employee journey. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders and external providers to implement system updates, troubleshoot issues, and refine automation opportunities. This role demands a high level of ownership, where you will document procedures, apply sound judgment, and escalate complex operational queries appropriately. You will be responsible for maintaining robust data governance to support reliable workforce analytics and reporting. The position requires a proactive mindset focused on compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement in HR operations. You will manage offer letters and service agreements, and act as the first point of contact for HR operational inquiries. Success in this role depends on your ability to balance detailed administrative execution with a strategic view of HR process improvement.

What you'll do
Execute day-to-day HRIS administration in Workday, covering employee data management, process workflows, and system configuration to maintain operational accuracy.
Support the implementation of HR process changes, collaborating with business users and technical teams to design, test, and deploy solutions that enhance efficiency and reporting.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external providers on system updates, configurations, and troubleshooting to resolve issues and improve system performance.
Maintain strong data governance by validating data integrity, managing HR metrics, and ensuring that workforce analytics reflect accurate and current information.
Execute core components of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, benefits administration, and offboarding, ensuring compliance and a seamless employee experience.
Contribute to process improvements by analyzing existing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing standardized procedures that enhance HR operations.
Document existing and improved HR processes, workflows, and policies to ensure clarity, consistency, and accessibility for stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal teams to review and refine HR processes, aligning operational practices with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Ensure all HR operational processes comply with local laws and internal company policies, applying diligence to confidentiality and data protection matters.
Generate and manage key HR documentation, such as offer letters and service agreements, with attention to detail and consistency.
Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers with HR operational queries, providing accurate guidance and applying judgment to escalate when necessary.
Leverage data management, governance, and analytics skills to support decision-making and drive evidence-based improvements in HR operations.
Demonstrate ownership and accountability by taking initiative, managing multiple priorities, and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Engage with the HR team and broader organization to promote best practices and foster a collaborative approach to HR operations.
Requirements
1-3 years of experience in an HR Operations, HR Administration, or HR Analyst role, providing a foundational understanding of HR processes and systems.
Experience working with HRIS platforms, preferably Workday, and Application Tracking Systems, preferably Greenhouse, to manage data and workflows.
Strong administrative and operational experience, with a proven ability to execute HR processes accurately, consistently, and confidentially.
A practical understanding of the employee lifecycle and the underlying HR processes that support talent management and compliance.
Strong attention to detail and organisational ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
Proficiency in data management, governance, and analytics, enabling you to interpret information and support decision-making.
Understanding of compliance requirements such as GDPR or equivalent data protection regulations, with an appreciation for data privacy and security.
Experience working with highly confidential and sensitive information, applying the highest levels of discretion and judgment in all interactions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees, managers, and external stakeholders across the business.
