About the role
You will own the forward-looking financial plan for n8n's commercial engine and guide how we invest in growth. You will co-own the GTM plan and translate our commercial strategy into actionable financial insight. You will build the models and operating rhythms that support n8n's next stage of scalable growth. You will drive annual planning and forecasting for GTM, aligning Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Partnerships. You will model pipeline health, sales dynamics, and funnel economics to help leadership understand growth drivers. You will partner with GTM budget owners to right-size investment and make informed resource allocation decisions. You will define the KPIs, reporting cadence, and frameworks that improve decision-making across the business. You will present clear, concise recommendations to executives and board audiences when required.

What you'll do
Lead n8n's annual planning and regular forecasting process for GTM, from top-down target setting and cross-functional alignment through to consolidation into the company plan.
Build and maintain an integrated sales-led top-line model that reflects the evolving strategies of Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Partnerships.
Model pipeline health, sales dynamics, funnel economics, and enterprise sales performance to help leadership understand the drivers behind growth.
Translate key growth levers such as pipeline generation, conversion, and ACV into clear financial impact and investment trade-offs.
Support pricing and packaging analysis, including the impact of commercial decisions on revenue and margin.
Own the financial partnership with GTM budget owners, helping them right-size investment and make informed decisions before committing resources.
Define the KPIs, reporting cadence, and frameworks that improve decision-making, including a consistent approach to marketing ROI, CAC, conversion, and marketing-sourced bookings.
Present clear, concise recommendations to Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and executive leadership, including board-level audiences when required.
Partner with RevOps on capacity planning, funnel performance, and the financial implications of GTM strategy.
Work with Data and Controlling to turn GTM financial reporting into tangible insight and recommendations rather than simply explaining variances.
Partner with RevOps and Controlling to forecast sales commission expense as part of the overall GTM budget.
Use AI and automation to create repeatable, scalable planning and reporting workflows that reflect how an automation company should operate.
Requirements
MUST-HAVES
You have 7+ years of experience in FP&A or strategic finance, ideally within a fast-paced technology or B2B SaaS environment.
You have led multi-entity, multi-stakeholder annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes from end to end.
You have partnered closely with Sales and Marketing leaders, ideally supporting a sales-led growth or enterprise sales motion.
You are fluent in CAC, CAC payback, CLV-to-CAC, pipeline dynamics, funnel conversion, and the economics of enterprise growth.
You build sophisticated, integrated financial models that remain reliable as assumptions and business conditions change.
You turn complex financial analysis into clear recommendations and are comfortable presenting to GTM leaders, executives, and board audiences.
You actively use AI and automation platforms such as n8n to improve the quality, speed, and repeatability of your work.
You are fluent in English, both written and verbal, to enable seamless collaboration with our international team.
You are comfortable working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment where priorities can shift quickly.
You take ownership of your work and are proactive in identifying problems and driving solutions to delivery.
You communicate with transparency, clarity, and respect for diverse perspectives across teams and regions.
You are based in or willing to relocate to Berlin and are eligible to work in Germany without sponsorship.
Nice to have
You have a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
You have experience working in a venture-backed, high-growth startup or scale-up.
You have deep experience with CRM and billing systems such as Salesforce and HubSpot.
You have experience with FP&A and planning tools such as Anaplan, NetSuite, or similar.
You have experience building financial models and scenario analyses for pricing and packaging decisions.
You have experience collaborating with RevOps on funnel and capacity planning initiatives.
You have experience presenting to board-level audiences and handling sensitive, confidential information with discretion.
Practical notes
Employees are expected to work 40 hours per week.
Travel is not required for this role.
