AI Portfolio Lead
Job description
About the role
You will own the strategy, execution and continuous improvement of a specific set of AI-focused apprenticeship products for the UK market, directly shaping how Multiverse prepares the workforce for the AI era. You are an AI-literate strategist who will translate complex developments in generative AI and agentic tooling into practical, high-impact learning offerings that drive bookings, retention and measurable business value for clients. You will act as the critical bridge between market signals, product ambition and delivery reality, ensuring our product set remains competitive, credible and responsive. You will passionately advocate for the learner and the client, using data and qualitative insights to challenge assumptions and refine the journey end-to-end. You will be the primary internal voice on policy and positioning, ensuring our apprenticeship portfolio evolves in step with the rapidly shifting regulatory and technological landscape.

- Partner with Product Marketing to validate market assumptions and competitor positioning, shaping how we communicate technical value and differentiate against other AI education providers.
- Conduct horizon scanning on data, tooling and AI workforce trends to uncover new skills development pain points and commercial opportunities for our apprenticeship portfolio.
- Collaborate with GTM, Finance and Delivery teams to scope custom data and AI offerings, balancing market potential against the technical investment and delivery complexity required.
- Support the Policy team in responding to UK apprenticeship policy consultations and influence the development of new policy instruments such as apprenticeship units relevant to data and AI roles.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to create compliant apprenticeship curricula that meet both learner and client needs, prioritising improvements using qualitative and quantitative insights.
- Enable Delivery, Admissions and Product partners by assessing and activating the readiness of our systems, processes and people to deliver a high quality learning experience for new AI products.
- Identify, escalate and mitigate risks to products at all levels of the organisation, including with C Suite stakeholders, to ensure quality benchmarks are consistently met.
- Design and lead rigorous feedback loops with internal delivery teams, learners and clients, synthesising input to inform product iterations and decision making.
- Establish and maintain credibility as the internal and external "voice of the data practitioner," building trust with technical leaders and stakeholders at every level of the organisation.
- Monitor the evolving data and AI tooling market, translating insights into learning interventions that keep our apprentices relevant to employer needs.
- Contribute to the quality assurance of synchronous and blended learning models, advising on instructional design choices that maximise engagement and completion.
