About the Role You will step into the role of IT Team Leader, a central figure responsible for the complete IT user experience. In this position, you will guide daily support operations, lead medium to long-term technological initiatives, and mentor team members within a cloud-first environment. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset capable of researching, proposing, and implementing enhancements that deliver tangible business value. You will ensure that people, processes, and technology function cohesively. Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent, high-quality technical support to all team members, prioritizing clear communication and a supportive approach.
- Lead complex troubleshooting efforts from initial report to final resolution, ensuring colleagues have the necessary tools and information.
- Drive forward-thinking improvements to IT systems and workflows, leveraging your technology expertise to elevate the workplace experience.
- Effectively balance immediate support demands with strategic project work, managing your time and priorities efficiently.
- Commit to ongoing personal and professional development by actively exploring new technologies and methodologies.
- Act as a third-level support function and Subject Matter Expert for the broader IT Service team.
- Lead and mentor team members, helping them grow into experts and filling knowledge gaps within the department.
- Anticipate potential issues and implement measures to streamline support processes before problems escalate. Requirements
- Bring a minimum of three years of hands-on experience from IT support or helpdesk positions, with a strong background in both macOS and Windows environments.
- Demonstrate a natural aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving, taking end-to-end ownership of issues.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of explaining technical topics clearly to stakeholders at any level.
- Show familiarity with contemporary cloud-first technology stacks and a willingness to master related concepts, including:
- Identity and device management solutions such as Single Sign-On, Mobile Device Management (including Jamf and Intune), and Google Workspace.
- Core infrastructure tools, networking, audio-visual systems, cloud-based telephony, and platforms like Zendesk Service Desk and Atlassian JIRA.
- Embrace a collaborative and autonomous working style, able to excel independently and within a team setting.
- Exhibit a strong passion for technology and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Compensation: £60,000 per year What you'll do
- Setting the technical direction for identity, devices, and infrastructure while mentoring team members.
- Designing workflows for device setup, access control, and system health within modern cloud platforms.
- Handling escalated tickets and acting as a third-function expert for the service team.
- Coordinating with vendors and internal colleagues to ensure equipment, AV setups, and tools are aligned.
- Monitoring ticket patterns to identify recurring issues and streamline future resolutions.
- Maintaining network, security, and telephony components to minimize user downtime.
- Exploring new technologies and methods to enhance service delivery and team efficiency.
- Partnering with service desks to align on standards, documentation, and continuous improvements. Requirements
- You bring three or more years of experience fixing technical issues in helpdesk roles focused on macOS and Windows.
- You take full ownership from report to closure, solving problems and driving them to completion.
- You communicate complex ideas clearly and exercise patience with colleagues at every level.
- You work comfortably with Single Sign-On, Mobile Device Management, Google Workspace, networking, AV, and cloud telephony systems.
- You manage Zendesk Service Desk and JIRA while balancing daily tasks and strategic work.
- You stay curious, developing skills and exploring improvements that benefit the wider business. Nice to have
