What you'll do

• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, ensuring that all questions are addressed promptly and accurately.
• Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews to attract top talent to Morrisonexpress.
• Conduct new employee orientations, providing essential information about company policies, culture, and benefits to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
• Maintain and update employee records in our HR information system, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
• Collaborate with management to identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs that enhance employee skills and performance.
• Support performance management processes by assisting in the development of performance evaluation criteria and facilitating feedback sessions.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies, while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that promote a positive workplace culture and align with legal requirements.
• Monitor employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers and employees to resolve conflicts and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement in employee retention and satisfaction.
• Stay updated on HR best practices and employment laws to ensure that Morrisonexpress remains compliant and competitive in the industry.
• Participate in HR projects and initiatives as needed, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR processes and employee engagement strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR generalist role, preferably within the logistics or supply chain sector.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with employee engagement initiatives and performance management systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Professional certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred but not required.
• Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms.
• Knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practices in the workplace.
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse workforce.
