About the role

Morrisonexpress is seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Security Specialist to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the safety and security of our operations across the Southeast Asia Pacific (SEAP) region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in security management, risk assessment, and crisis response, contributing to the development and implementation of security protocols that protect our assets and personnel. What you'll do

Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs of Morrisonexpress operations in the SEAP region.
Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities, providing actionable recommendations to mitigate risks.
Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies and security partners to enhance the safety of our facilities and personnel.
Monitor and analyze security incidents, preparing detailed reports and presenting findings to senior management for informed decision-making.
Lead training sessions and workshops for staff on security awareness, emergency response protocols, and best practices to ensure a culture of safety.
Oversee the management of security personnel, ensuring that they are well-trained and equipped to handle various security challenges.
Respond to security incidents and emergencies, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure swift and effective resolutions.
Stay updated on regional security trends, potential threats, and best practices, adjusting security strategies accordingly.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams, to foster a collaborative approach to security.
Conduct regular audits and assessments of security systems and measures, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Prepare and manage the security budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet security needs.
Engage in continuous professional development to enhance personal knowledge and skills in the field of security management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in security management or a related role, preferably within the logistics or transportation sectors.
Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and developing security protocols.
Strong understanding of local and regional security regulations, laws, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to respond to emergencies and manage crises effectively.
Proficiency in security management software and tools, with a strong aptitude for technology.
Ability to travel within the SEAP region as required.
Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Nice to have

Certification in security management (e.g., CPP, PSP, or similar) is highly desirable.
Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry, particularly in a security role.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
Familiarity with physical security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
Previous experience working in a multinational organization or cross-cultural environment.
