Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee the entire claims process from initiation to resolution, ensuring timely and accurate handling of all insurance claims.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including logistics and operations teams, to gather necessary documentation and information for claims submissions.
- Analyze claims data and trends to identify areas for improvement in our insurance processes and risk management strategies.
- Liaise with insurance providers and adjusters to facilitate communication and expedite claim resolutions.
- Prepare detailed reports on claims status and outcomes, providing insights to management for decision-making purposes.
- Ensure compliance with local and international insurance regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits of claims files to ensure accuracy and completeness, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff on best practices in claims management and insurance compliance.
- Assist in negotiating settlements with insurance companies to achieve favorable outcomes for the organization.
- Stay informed about changes in insurance policies and regulations that may impact the company's operations and risk exposure.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and partners, addressing inquiries and concerns related to insurance claims.
- Support the finance team in reconciling claims-related expenses and ensuring proper allocation of resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance claims management or a similar role within the logistics or transportation industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English; knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple claims simultaneously.
- Proficient in using claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to advocate for the company's interests during claims discussions.
Nice to have
- Professional certifications related to insurance or claims management, such as AIC or CPCU.
- Experience with international insurance policies and cross-border claims handling.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain management principles.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, enhancing client relations and service delivery.
