What you'll do

• Provide expert legal advice and guidance on a wide range of issues, including corporate governance, contract negotiations, and compliance with local and international laws.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies, to ensure they meet legal standards and protect the company's interests.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management and various departments, to identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the business, and proactively advise the organization on necessary adjustments to policies and practices.
• Manage disputes and litigation, working closely with external legal counsel when necessary to protect the company's interests.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support business decisions and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement training programs for employees on legal compliance and ethical standards to foster a culture of integrity within the organization.
• Assist in the establishment and maintenance of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Represent the company in negotiations and discussions with external parties, including clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare and present reports on legal matters to senior management and the board of directors, ensuring they are informed of significant legal issues and developments.
• Participate in strategic planning sessions to align legal strategies with business objectives and support the company's growth initiatives.
• Foster relationships with external legal advisors and industry peers to stay informed about best practices and emerging legal trends.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate legal environment, with a focus on contract law and compliance.
• Strong understanding of local and international laws and regulations relevant to the logistics and supply chain industry.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex contracts and agreements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess legal risks and provide practical solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical practices and compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.

• Experience working in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain sectors.
• Familiarity with data protection and privacy laws, particularly in relation to cross-border transactions.
• Previous experience in a managerial role or leading a legal team.
• Knowledge of intellectual property law and its implications for business operations.
