What you'll do
- Manage the complete air export process from initiation to delivery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to air export shipments in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including airlines, freight forwarders, and customs authorities, to facilitate smooth export operations.
- Prepare and review all necessary documentation for air exports, including air waybills, invoices, and customs declarations.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate updates to clients, ensuring transparency throughout the shipping process.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to gather feedback and enhance service delivery, contributing to overall customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling additional services and improving client relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications in the company's logistics management system.
- Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in air export logistics.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
- Support the team in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) related to air export operations and customer service metrics.
- Engage in problem-solving activities to address any operational challenges that may arise, ensuring minimal disruption to service delivery.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in air export logistics or a related field, with a strong understanding of export regulations and procedures.
- Proven experience in customer service, with a focus on building and maintaining client relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and compliance requirements specific to air freight operations.
Nice to have
- Experience in a multinational logistics company or freight forwarding environment.
- Familiarity with specific air cargo software and tracking systems.
- Fluency in additional languages, particularly Mandarin or Cantonese, is a plus.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management, such as IATA or FIATA, would be advantageous.
