What you'll do
Coordinate the development and updating of fully loaded project schedules for small to medium transportation initiatives.
Support monitoring of schedule performance and identify variances that could threaten critical milestones.
Assist in the amendment of schedules to respond to changes in scope, weather, or resource availability.
Use critical thinking to evaluate sequencing options and recommend adjustments to keep projects within prescribed parameters.
Communicate schedule status clearly to field crews, leadership, and stakeholders to maintain alignment.
Organize and maintain schedule-related documentation to ensure accuracy and traceability.
Apply strong organizational skills to manage multiple project timelines and prioritize tasks effectively.
Leverage scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to build and refine detailed schedules.
Collaborate with material suppliers and equipment operators to synchronize resources with planned activities.
Assist in the preparation of reports that illustrate progress, risks, and forecasted completion dates.
Support the implementation of best practices in scheduling to improve efficiency and reduce delays.
Promote adherence to safety and quality standards by ensuring schedule outputs reflect real-world constraints.
Contribute to the development of industry insights through shared experience and structured schedule data.
Engage in continuous learning to adapt to evolving technology and project requirements.
Requirements
You must bring 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training to the role.
You must demonstrate proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
You must have hands-on experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
You must thrive in fast-paced environments under tight deadlines.
You must possess strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
You must be self-motivated, goal oriented, and comfortable working with minimal direct supervision.
You must value safety and quality as much as schedule adherence.
You must be willing to collaborate closely with teammates across labor and operational functions.
Nice to have
