What you'll do

- Champion safety protocols and ensure strict adherence to all operational standards to protect team members and the public.
- Analyze project financials, including budgets, forecasts, and cost controls, to support informed decision-making and profitability goals.
- Develop and maintain detailed schedules, utilizing advanced planning techniques to align resources and project milestones effectively.
- Manage and evaluate project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to address potential issues before they escalate.
- Coordinate and lead change management processes to adapt project plans in response to evolving conditions or stakeholder needs.
- Oversee contract administration and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports to stakeholders, communicating project status, challenges, and achievements clearly.
- Interface with clients and external partners to foster strong relationships and ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Drive the implementation of evolving technologies and best practices to enhance project delivery and team capabilities.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues and streamline project workflows for greater efficiency.

Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bring a minimum of 5+ years of related experience in project management or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Demonstrate proven experience managing project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
- Show expertise in scheduling and risk management, with a track record of developing and monitoring project timelines.
- Possess strong change management skills to guide teams through transitions and adapt project strategies as needed.
- Have prior management experience and a history of successful client interfacing in complex project environments.
- Maintain a valid driver license appropriate for the types of vehicles you may operate and an acceptable driving record as reviewed by the Michels team.
- Be willing to travel based on project assignment locations, which may require extended periods away from home.
- Have experience with multiple project delivery methods, including Design Bid Build, Design Build, Progressive Design Build, CMGC, and other approaches.
- Demonstrate familiarity with project management tools and software such as Primavera, HCSS, B2W, MS Office Suite, and MS Projects.
- Possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Show a commitment to upholding safety standards and ethical practices in every phase of project execution.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in dynamic and challenging environments.
- Meet all employment eligibility requirements as verified through company review processes.
Nice to have
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
- Experience with industry-specific software such as HCSS, B2W, or similar tools.
- Background in family-owned or closely managed organizations.
- Familiarity with trenchless construction methods and technologies.
