What you'll do
Coordinate project activities from initial proposal through closeout, ensuring alignment with client requirements, schedule targets, and budget objectives.
Manage scope, schedules, resources, and expenditures for project phases or multiple smaller projects to maintain profitability and satisfy stakeholder expectations.
Utilize Project Management software such as Primavera or HCSS to track progress, forecast risks, and communicate status accurately.
Lead the development and review of technical and contractual documents, including specifications, quotes, and proposals, to ensure completeness and compliance.
Perform detailed site assessments and coordinate with field teams to validate installation methods for underground cable, duct bank, conductor, and fiber optic systems.
Implement and monitor rigorous safety performance metrics, fostering a culture where every team member shares responsibility for safe operations.
Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and communicate project updates transparently.
Optimize resource allocation, including labor, equipment, and materials, to mitigate delays and control costs across project timelines.
Apply root cause analysis and corrective action strategies to address unexpected challenges and protect project deliverables.
Champion continuous improvement by evaluating project outcomes, capturing lessons learned, and refining processes for future engagements.
Support business development efforts by providing accurate estimates and insights that strengthen proposal quality and competitiveness.
Ensure all project activities adhere to contractual terms, quality standards, and regulatory requirements throughout execution.
Promote collaboration across functions to align field execution, procurement, and administrative support with project goals.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation to facilitate smooth transitions, audits, and post-project reviews.
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor's degree in project management, construction management, engineering, or a related field.
Bring 3-5 years of relevant experience in project management or a closely related role, or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Possess a valid driver license appropriate for the types of vehicles you may operate and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Have experience using Project Management software such as Primavera, HCSS, or similar systems.
Be willing and able to travel as required to support project locations.
Commit to adhering to company policies, safety standards, and quality expectations.
Meet eligibility criteria consistent with Michels Underground Cable, Inc. operational and regulatory requirements.
Nice to have
Experience in underground cable, duct bank, power transmission, power distribution, renewable energy, or communication network projects.
