This role requires you to lead medium voltage duct banks, substation feeds, and underground transmission systems that power data centers and critical mission infrastructure. You will guide projects through the full lifecycle, from initial proposal and bidding efforts to on-site execution and profitable closeout. What you'll do
Coordinate project schedules and resources using Project Management software such as Primavera or HCSS to maintain critical path alignment.
Lead the development of proposals and bid packages, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with client requirements.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and subcontractors, to maintain clear communication and expectations.
Oversee safety performance across project phases, reinforcing a culture where everyone shares responsibility for safe outcomes.
Monitor budget and cost controls to protect project profitability and identify corrective actions early.
Drive quality assurance processes to ensure installations meet technical standards and regulatory compliance.
Troubleshoot project issues, making timely decisions to resolve conflicts and keep delivery on track.
Support the implementation of medium voltage duct banks, substation feeds, and campus distribution systems for data center projects.
Facilitate documentation and lessons-learned activities to improve future project execution.
Promote Michels Underground Cable, Inc. as a trusted partner in delivering essential underground infrastructure solutions.
Champion continuous improvement by evaluating methods, tools, and team performance to enhance project outcomes.
Collaborate with field leadership to validate schedules, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.

Communicate project status clearly to leadership and clients through reports, meetings, and proactive updates.

Requirements
Bring a minimum of 10 years of related professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, to this role.
Demonstrate specific experience managing medium voltage duct banks, substation feeds, underground transmission, or campus distribution systems, particularly within data center contexts.
Hold a valid driver license appropriate for the types of vehicles you may operate and maintain an acceptable driving record as assessed by the Michels Review Team.
Be prepared to travel extensively and commit to long-term onsite assignments as project needs require.
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interface effectively with teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Work effectively in team settings while making timely decisions that support project delivery and safety.
