About the role

You will own the development and maintenance of backend systems that power MultiBank Group's FX back-office operations, Introducing Broker ecosystem, and legacy platforms. In this role, you are responsible for managing partner hierarchies, client-account relationships, and trading activity tracking with a focus on accuracy and reliability. You will design solutions that automate commission and rebate calculations across MT4 and MT5 environments while ensuring seamless data flow. Your work will directly support the processing of over $35 billion in daily trading volume by building robust and scalable backend services. You will collaborate closely with FX, IB, and operations teams to translate business requirements into efficient technical logic. Success in this position is defined by your ability to deliver clean code that integrates smoothly with heavily regulated financial systems. You will play a key role in maintaining system stability while gradually modernizing critical legacy infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain backend systems that support Introducing Broker management, including partner hierarchies, referral structures, commission engines, and rebate calculations linked to FX trading activity.
• Write clean, secure, and maintainable PHP code using frameworks such as Symfony (preferred) or Laravel, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Design and implement scalable backend architectures capable of handling complex financial logic, including trade volume tracking, commission rules, and multi-level IB structures.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs to integrate with trading platforms (MT4/MT5), CRM systems, and internal reporting tools, ensuring accurate and real-time data synchronization.
• Optimize and manage relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL, focusing on performance, data integrity, and handling high-volume transactional data.
• Support, troubleshoot, and enhance legacy applications to ensure system stability while gradually improving architecture and performance.
• Translate business and operational requirements from FX, IB, and operations teams into efficient technical solutions and automated workflows.
• Implement logging, validation, and audit mechanisms to ensure transparency and traceability of financial and client data.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, refine, and prioritize work items and deliverables in an Agile environment.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and apply corrective actions to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing to support maintainability and future development efforts.
• Assist in debugging and resolving production issues, applying fixes and improvements with minimal disruption to services.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve code quality and development practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in backend development across the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong proficiency in PHP with hands-on experience in frameworks such as Symfony (highly preferred), or other frameworks like Laravel, Yii, or CodeIgniter.
• Solid understanding of software design patterns, clean code principles, and scalable system architecture.
• Experience working with FX/trading systems, IB platforms, or financial back-office environments is highly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of RESTful API design, web services, and system integrations.
• Strong experience with relational databases and query optimization (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Understanding of MVC architecture and enterprise integration patterns.
• Proficiency with version control tools such as Git.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using tools such as Jira and Slack.
• Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving ability, and comfort working with complex, business-critical logic.
• Ability to interpret business requirements and convert them into efficient technical solutions.
