What you'll do

Perform high-quality lower extremity venous duplex ultrasound evaluations and post-treatment scans to assess venous valve function and blood flow.

Maintain strict scanning protocols while ensuring patient comfort and safety during each examination in a fast-paced outpatient vascular environment.

Communicate preliminary ultrasound findings to physicians accurately and efficiently to support timely diagnosis and treatment planning.

Document all ultrasound findings and patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR) system with precision and attention to detail.

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards across exam rooms and ultrasound equipment areas to uphold clinical best practices.

Support daily patient flow and operational efficiency in partnership with physicians, medical assistants, and front desk teams to ensure seamless clinic experiences.

Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the entire patient experience, from check-in to post-procedure follow-up and education.

Assist with new patient venous insufficiency studies, which typically last 45-60 minutes, and follow-up or post-operative scans, which usually require 20-30 minutes.

Adapt to an average patient volume of approximately 8-10 patients per day while maintaining high standards of technical accuracy and professionalism.

Contribute to the mission of relieving painful but treatable vein disease symptoms, helping patients achieve improved quality of life through advanced vein care.

Requirements

Be a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), Allied Professional Health Registry (ARRT) certified, or a board-eligible graduate preparing for registry certification.

Possess current state licensure or certification as required for vascular ultrasound practice in Texas.

Demonstrate competency in performing lower extremity venous duplex ultrasound examinations and related vascular protocols.

Hold the ability to interpret standard venous ultrasound studies under physician supervision and communicate results effectively.

Maintain strict compliance with patient safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations at all times.

Show commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to established clinical guidelines and quality standards.

Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Display reliability for consistent Monday-Friday scheduling with availability during standard clinic hours as needed.

Nice to have

Preferred experience in a vascular or vein center environment where patient throughput and clinical accuracy are prioritized.

Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems commonly used in outpatient specialty practices.

Additional certification or training in advanced vascular ultrasound techniques or related specialties.
