About the role
You are a core architect of Meter's revenue engine, owning the full recruiting lifecycle for our go-to-market organization. You raise the bar with every hire by identifying and closing exceptional sales talent that accelerates our business trajectory. Your work directly shapes the capabilities of our Sales, Channel, and Sales Engineering teams. You partner closely with leadership to ensure hiring decisions reflect strategic priorities and high conviction standards. You bring persistence and rigor to every interaction, applying the Meter Sales team's motto of "Why not now?" to sourcing and closing top candidates. Your success is measured by the quality and retention of your hires, ensuring they exceed expectations from day one. You evangelize and steward Meter's distinct culture throughout the candidate journey.

What you'll do
Design search strategies and map the market across sales, channel, and customer-facing roles to identify talent pools.
Proactively source and engage high-caliber candidates through targeted outreach, referrals, and creative research across multiple channels.
Run a structured, clear hiring process that enables high-conviction decisions and reduces time-to-hire by 20%.
Partner closely with our Sales and Leadership teams, facilitating debriefs and advising on compensation, leveling, and closing strategies.
Personalize every step of the candidate experience to reflect Meter's values and high standards throughout the funnel.
Apply persistence and rigor by following up one more time, seeking a warm introduction, or tailoring messages that unlock the right conversation.
Build and maintain a diverse pipeline of qualified candidates to ensure consistent hiring velocity and fill critical roles.
Evaluate candidates against rigorous standards for selling sophisticated, full-stack networking products and evangelizing Meter's vision.
Champion an elite bar for sales talent by assessing trust-building abilities and cultural alignment during every interaction.
Streamline recruiting operations to scale with fast-growing businesses while maintaining an eligible new hire retention rate through year one.
Ensure offer acceptance rates remain at or above 80% by aligning candidate expectations with role requirements and career pathways.
Maintain an eligible ≥80% offer acceptance rate through transparent communication and compelling value proposition storytelling.
Continuously refine sourcing and engagement methods to cut time-to-hake by 20% while improving the quality of hire.
Act as a strategic advisor to hiring managers on market trends, compensation positioning, and competitive differentiation.
Own end-to-end recruitment metrics, including pipeline volume, diversity of applicants, and long-term success of hires.
Requirements
You have an incredibly high bar for sales talent and know how to evaluate candidates who can sell a sophisticated, full-stack product.
You can relentlessly drive top-of-funnel for the roles you recruit for, identifying and converting potential candidates through creative outreach and multiple media.
You understand the compounding return an exceptional hire has on a company's trajectory and work tirelessly to ensure hiring decisions reflect this impact.
You think of recruiting as a discipline as scientific as the sales team that you support, bringing clarity and confidence to the hiring process.
You are an evangelist and steward of company culture, ensuring Meter's values are reflected in every candidate interaction.
You have built recruiting processes that scale with fast-growing businesses, such as taking a startup from 20 to 200 people or owning high-volume hiring at a growth company.
You have a high sense of urgency and can live by the Meter Sales team's motto of "Why not now?" in your daily work.
You are eligible to work in the United States and meet all requirements for employment in the role location.
You are willing to relocate for this position if required and comply with all authorization and immigration requirements as applicable.
You are committed to maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of the recruiting process and handling sensitive information appropriately.
You have strong written and verbal communication skills and can articulate Meter's vision and value proposition to diverse audiences.
You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities and shifting demands.
You have experience managing multiple concurrent searches and balancing competing deadlines without compromising quality.
You are comfortable leveraging data and feedback to iterate on sourcing strategies and improve hiring outcomes over time.
You have a proven track record of closing offers and maintaining high acceptance rates in previous recruiting roles.
Nice to have
Previous experience in networking, infrastructure, or enterprise software sales recruiting.
Familiarity with Meter's product, networking technologies, and the challenges of enterprise network operations.
Experience building scalable recruiting programs in hybrid or remote-first environments.
Knowledge of employment law and regulations related to hiring in California and New York.
Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruitment analytics platforms.
Background in coaching hiring managers on interview techniques and decision-making frameworks.

This is a hybrid role in San Francisco or New York City.
COMPENSATION
The estimated salary range for this role is $130,000 - $180,000.
Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Meter's equity plan.
