Key facts
What you'll do
- Design and implement a robust technical training curriculum, initiating with in-person lab sessions in San Francisco aimed at equipping partner sales engineers with the skills to independently scope and validate network designs.
- Expand training initiatives to additional locations across the United States, ensuring a consistent and high-quality learning experience for all partners.
- Establish lab environments that accurately simulate complex, multi-site, and multi-stack production scenarios, providing partners with realistic hands-on experience.
- Oversee the production and management of the Meter Pulse video series, which includes scripting, technical validation, and the overall production process to ensure high-quality educational content.
- Work closely with the marketing team to review and refresh technical materials available on the Meter Partner Portal, ensuring that all collateral is up-to-date and relevant.
- Conduct live training sessions, showcasing Meter's solutions and representing the company at various partner conferences and industry expos to strengthen relationships and promote our offerings.
- Gather feedback from partner teams to continuously improve training materials and delivery methods, ensuring that the content remains effective and engaging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training objectives with business goals and partner needs, fostering a cohesive approach to technical enablement.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in enterprise networking, with hands-on expertise in LAN/WAN, switching, routing, wireless technologies, and security protocols.
- A proven track record in roles that involve direct interaction with clients or partners, such as Sales Engineer, Technical Marketing Engineer, or Technical Trainer.
- Strong ability to create high-quality technical documentation, including lab guides, Learning Management System (LMS) modules, and engaging video demonstrations.
- Excellent presentation skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to large groups while also providing tailored support to experienced engineers on a one-on-one basis.
- Familiarity with the latest networking technologies and trends, ensuring that training content is relevant and up-to-date.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Nice to have
- Experience in a partner-facing role with a solid understanding of the channel ecosystem, including Value-Added Resellers (VARs), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Technical Service Distributors (TSDs), Technical Advisors (TAs), and other distributors.
- A background in instructional design or experience in developing multi-stage technical training programs that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Previous experience in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating adaptability and effective communication skills in both in-person and remote settings.

- Expertise in creating technical content that is both informative and engaging.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to captivate and educate audiences.
