Product Manager, Firewall

About the role

Join our team to develop top-tier firewall, routing, and SD-WAN solutions by collaborating with our engineering group. You will take ownership of critical networking features and drive product strategy to improve customer outcomes across our vertically integrated stack. In this position, you will act as the central product authority for network security and connectivity, defining what gets built and why it matters. What you'll do

• Design and manage features including Site-to-Site VPN, ACLs, BGP over WAN, BGP over AutoVPN, DNS security, and IDS/IPS.
• Partner with firmware engineers to evaluate technical tradeoffs and define product roadmaps.
• Coordinate with support and Quality Engineering teams to triage bugs and ensure stable, easy-to-deploy releases.
• Participate in quarterly business reviews with customers to gather feedback and align product direction.
• Work across internal teams, including backend API, frontend dashboard, and autonomous modeling groups.
• Plan weekly product roadmaps in direct coordination with our cofounder.
• Define the boundaries and capabilities of networking features to ensure clarity for both implementation and adoption.
• Analyze customer usage data to identify patterns that inform prioritization and long-term strategy.
• Develop business cases and success metrics for new features to validate investment and measure impact.
• Serve as the primary interface between technical teams and customer-facing stakeholders during critical releases.
• Facilitate workshops and design sessions to refine user workflows and eliminate friction in the network configuration process.
• Maintain a living understanding of the product lifecycle from concept to deprecation, ensuring continuity and consistency.
• Evaluate competitive products and market trends to identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement.
• Drive documentation and training materials that enable effective adoption of complex networking features.

Requirements

• Proven experience building products within the enterprise security or networking industry.
• Deep understanding of the workflows and challenges faced by IT administrators and network engineers.
• Technical proficiency in routing, ACLs, NAT, BGP, OSPF, and packet policy.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and align teams without formal authority.
• Experience shipping products incrementally and iterating based on real-world feedback.
• Capacity to learn new technical layers, including OS, firmware, and data plane architecture, within the first year.
• Demonstrated skill in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
