What you'll do

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of Bamboohr, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to optimize workflow and enhance productivity.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Oversee inventory management, ensuring that stock levels are maintained to meet production demands without excess waste.
• Implement best practices in safety and compliance, ensuring that all operations adhere to industry regulations and standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of operations staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
• Conduct regular audits of operational processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and manage the operational budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet business objectives.
• Drive initiatives for process improvement, utilizing methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to enhance operational efficiency.
• Report directly to the executive team on operational performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven track record of successfully leading teams and managing complex operational processes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficient in project management tools and software; experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges.

Nice to have

• Experience in the metalworking or manufacturing industry is advantageous.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar operational excellence programs.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards specific to manufacturing operations.
• Experience with budget management and financial forecasting.
• Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies and automation.
