What you'll do
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of Bamboohr, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to optimize workflow and enhance productivity.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring that stock levels are maintained to meet production demands without excess waste.
- Implement best practices in safety and compliance, ensuring that all operations adhere to industry regulations and standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of operations staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
- Conduct regular audits of operational processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and manage the operational budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet business objectives.
- Drive initiatives for process improvement, utilizing methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to enhance operational efficiency.
- Report directly to the executive team on operational performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven track record of successfully leading teams and managing complex operational processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficient in project management tools and software; experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
Nice to have
- Experience in the metalworking or manufacturing industry is advantageous.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar operational excellence programs.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards specific to manufacturing operations.
- Experience with budget management and financial forecasting.
- Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies and automation.
