What you'll do

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Define and implement the engineering strategy that aligns with Meniga's business goals and product roadmap.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable and reliable software solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to prioritize engineering initiatives and allocate resources effectively.
• Drive the adoption of modern development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices, to enhance productivity and delivery speed.
• Establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure the success of engineering projects and team performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a leadership role within an engineering team, with a minimum of 5 years in software development.
• Strong background in software engineering principles, design patterns, and architecture, particularly in the fintech domain.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, along with experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver results on time and within budget.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovative solutions and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Familiarity with data security and compliance standards relevant to financial services.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in the financial technology sector, particularly with banking or payment solutions.
• Knowledge of machine learning or data analytics technologies and their application in fintech.
• Previous experience working in a startup environment or fast-paced tech company.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Multilingual abilities, particularly in Polish or other European languages, are a plus.
