Meniga is seeking a highly skilled Principal Architect to join our dynamic team in Warsaw, Poland. As a Principal Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of our products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, guiding the development process and mentoring junior architects and engineers.

What you'll do

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of scalable and robust financial technology solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including system designs, data models, and integration specifications.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools that can enhance our product offerings and improve development efficiency.
• Oversee the implementation of best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing strategies, and deployment processes.
• Mentor and guide junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Conduct architectural reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to design principles and quality standards.
• Act as a key point of contact for technical discussions with clients, providing expert insights and solutions to complex challenges.
• Participate in strategic planning sessions to align architectural initiatives with the company's long-term goals.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to keep Meniga at the forefront of innovation in the fintech space.
• Facilitate collaboration between different teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to the development of proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate the feasibility of new ideas and technologies.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in software architecture or a related field, with a strong focus on financial technology solutions.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale, distributed systems in a cloud environment.
• In-depth knowledge of architectural patterns, microservices, and API design principles.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python, along with experience in modern frameworks and libraries.
• Strong understanding of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases, and experience with data modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Familiarity with security best practices in software development and data protection regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience in the fintech industry, particularly in areas such as payments, banking, or financial analytics.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their architectural services.
• Experience with machine learning or data analytics frameworks and tools.
• Previous experience in a leadership role, managing teams or projects successfully.
