Meniga is seeking a highly skilled Principal Architect to join our dynamic team in Warsaw, Poland. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to lead architectural design and implementation efforts for our innovative financial technology solutions. As a Principal Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of our products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, guiding the development process and mentoring junior architects and engineers.

What you'll do
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of scalable and robust financial technology solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including system designs, data models, and integration specifications.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools that can enhance our product offerings and improve development efficiency.
- Oversee the implementation of best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing strategies, and deployment processes.
- Mentor and guide junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
- Conduct architectural reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to design principles and quality standards.
- Act as a key point of contact for technical discussions with clients, providing expert insights and solutions to complex challenges.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align architectural initiatives with the company's long-term goals.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to keep Meniga at the forefront of innovation in the fintech space.
- Facilitate collaboration between different teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to the development of proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate the feasibility of new ideas and technologies.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in software architecture or a related field, with a strong focus on financial technology solutions.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale, distributed systems in a cloud environment.
- In-depth knowledge of architectural patterns, microservices, and API design principles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python, along with experience in modern frameworks and libraries.
- Strong understanding of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases, and experience with data modeling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Familiarity with security best practices in software development and data protection regulations.
Nice to have
- Experience in the fintech industry, particularly in areas such as payments, banking, or financial analytics.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their architectural services.
- Experience with machine learning or data analytics frameworks and tools.
- Previous experience in a leadership role, managing teams or projects successfully.
