Key facts
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust applications using the .NET framework, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with product managers and UX/UI designers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and functional applications.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications, identifying and resolving issues to enhance functionality and user experience.
- Implement unit tests and integration tests to ensure software reliability and maintainability.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and enhance application performance in production environments.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, integrating new tools and methodologies into existing workflows.
- Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support to help them grow their technical skills and career paths.
- Contribute to the documentation of software designs, processes, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
- Engage in agile development processes, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure project alignment and progress.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on product features, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market demands.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of third-party tools and libraries that can enhance our development processes and product offerings.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on .NET technologies.
- Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, and related frameworks, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus.
- Familiarity with database systems, particularly SQL Server, and experience in writing complex queries and optimizing database performance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture is advantageous.
- A proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience in the financial technology sector or knowledge of financial services is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and experience working in an Agile environment.
- Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Understanding of security best practices in software development and experience implementing secure coding practices.
