About the role
As a , you will be integral to the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team, working closely with the Data Protection Officer (DPO). Your primary responsibility will be to actively contribute to the management, deployment, and enhancement of the GDPR compliance program for Forvis Mazars in France. This role involves advising operational teams on data protection issues and ensuring compliance with data processing activities.

What you'll do
- Collaborate with operational teams to address all aspects of personal data protection and provide guidance on compliance with data processing regulations.
- Conduct thorough legal analyses and offer pragmatic recommendations tailored to the operational realities of various activities within the firm.
- Review internal processes to identify compliance measures that need to be implemented, ensuring that all data processing activities are documented accurately.
- Maintain and update the register of data processing activities, ensuring it reflects current practices and compliance status.
- Perform data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) to identify risks associated with data processing and propose actionable plans to mitigate these risks.
- Work alongside the DPO to promote a culture of data protection within the organization by participating in awareness and communication initiatives.
- Assist in managing personal data breaches, including the investigation and resolution of such incidents.
- Handle requests from individuals exercising their rights under data protection laws, ensuring timely and compliant responses.
- Stay informed about changes in data protection legislation and best practices to ensure the firm remains compliant.
- Foster relationships with stakeholders at all levels to build trust and facilitate effective communication regarding data protection matters.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to understanding diverse topics in a rapidly changing environment, adapting to new challenges as they arise.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Master's degree in data protection law or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a role focused on data protection issues, either within a corporate legal department or a law firm.
- Strong understanding of GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical and operational recommendations.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively in an international context.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple cases concurrently.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
Nice to have
- Experience in conducting training sessions or workshops on data protection topics.
- Familiarity with data protection technologies and tools.
- Previous experience in a multinational environment, enhancing your understanding of cross-border data issues.
- Knowledge of additional languages, which could be beneficial in an international setting.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research tools.
- Familiarity with data management systems and compliance software.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.

- Candidates will undergo two interviews: one with a recruitment officer focusing on motivations and a second with the Director responsible for the team.
