About the role
In this position, you will become a vital member of a dynamic R&D team comprised of over 30 specialists dedicated to developing transformative tools for data-driven professions. Your primary focus will be on enhancing operational efficiency for our clients through the effective utilization and analysis of data across various business applications, including strategy, marketing, sales, research and development, and finance. You will engage directly with clients to address their challenges and assist in the implementation of tailored technological solutions. This role involves end-to-end data flow development, from extracting and transforming client data to making it available via web applications and dashboards we create, as well as managing data lakes, data warehouses, and APIs.

What you'll do
- Collaborate with clients to identify their data challenges and propose effective technological solutions tailored to their specific needs.
- Design and implement data pipelines that facilitate the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources.
- Develop and maintain data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Create and optimize dashboards and web applications that visualize data insights for clients, enhancing their decision-making capabilities.
- serverless cloud paradigms for deploying data pipelines, including AWS Lambdas, Azure Functions, and Google Cloud Functions.
- Employ advanced DevOps techniques and bare-metal virtualization within a pioneering MLOps team that has been operational in continuous integration and delivery since 2013.
- Write and maintain scripts for data transformation and analysis using languages such as Python, R, or Spark.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data processing lifecycle, implementing best practices in data management.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration with full-stack teams to ensure integration of data solutions with existing applications.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering practices within the team.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering to ensure the team remains at the forefront of the industry.
Requirements
- A degree at the Master's level (Bac+5) in engineering or a related field, such as data systems, data processing, big data, statistics, or software engineering.
- Proven interest in application development with a focus on data, demonstrated through internships, coursework, or personal projects involving back-end and/or front-end development.
- Hands-on experience with one or more data persistence layers, including relational databases (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Neo4j, S3).
- Familiarity with designing, implementing, or manipulating data lakes, data warehouses, or data marts.
- Proficient in implementing ETL pipelines and writing transformation scripts in Python, R, or Spark.
- Comfortable working in a Linux environment (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS) and using version control systems such as Git.
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration, such as Ansible, Terraform, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with interacting with multidisciplinary full-stack teams, particularly using REST APIs and frameworks like Vue.js.
- Experience with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data engineering tools such as Redshift, Azure Synapse, or Databricks.
- Knowledge of predictive analytics frameworks such as scikit-learn or TensorFlow.
