What you'll do
- Design and develop architectural frameworks that support the scalability and performance of our platform solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools that enhance platform functionality and user experience.
- Lead architectural reviews and provide guidance on best practices for software development and system integration.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of architectural designs, standards, and procedures.
- Mentor and support engineering teams in implementing architectural guidelines and resolving technical challenges.
- Conduct performance analysis and optimization of existing systems to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on platform features, ensuring they meet user needs and expectations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions and drive innovation within the organization.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions to promote a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in all architectural designs and implementations.
- Participate in the recruitment process by evaluating candidates for technical roles and providing insights into their architectural capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software architecture or platform engineering.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with API design and development, including RESTful services and GraphQL.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to streamline development processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment, with a focus on iterative improvement and team collaboration.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of data architecture and experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like React or Angular for full-stack development insights.
- Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
