What you'll do
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of primary product functionality from initial concept through production release.
- Mentor, scale, and manage the performance of your engineering team by providing clear expectations, feedback, and career growth opportunities.
- Partner with product managers, data teams, and behavioral health experts to align technical output with business goals and user needs.
- Enforce high standards for software development and deployment processes to ensure quality, security, and maintainability.
- Translate complex requirements into technical specifications that guide the implementation of core features.
- Monitor project progress and remove obstacles that prevent the engineering team from delivering on time.
- Evaluate new technologies and approaches, including AI tools focused on Agentic development, to improve healthcare workflows, personalization, and automation.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with clinical and data stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical solutions and clinical best practices.
- Drive software delivery and project execution by coordinating efforts across multiple teams and prioritizing work effectively.
- Communicate technical concepts and project status to diverse audiences, including executives, engineers, and non-technical partners.
- Build and maintain processes that support scalable development practices and continuous improvement within the engineering organization.
- Support the integration of platform capabilities and third-party partnerships to enhance the overall product offering.
- Identify opportunities to streamline development workflows and improve the reliability of deployments.
- Contribute to the broader technical strategy of the company by sharing insights and best practices with other teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in software engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 1 year of experience in a management role leading engineers or technical projects.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
- Background in building enterprise or consumer-facing web applications that serve diverse users.
- Proven ability to manage projects and drive results in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Familiarity with AI tools, specifically Agentic development, and their application in healthcare, personalization, or workflow automation.
- Strong communication skills suitable for diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with distributed teams and collaborating across time zones when necessary.
- Demonstrated understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices in engineering.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical contributions.
- Willingness to comply with company policies and support a culture of inclusion and collaboration.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of code quality, documentation, and team processes.
- Openness to feedback and continuous learning in a dynamic and growing organization.
