What you'll do

• Develop and implement configuration management plans that align with project requirements and organizational goals.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to establish configuration baselines and manage changes effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular audits of configuration items to verify compliance with established standards and identify discrepancies.
• Facilitate change control processes, ensuring that all modifications are properly reviewed, approved, and documented.
• Provide training and support to team members on configuration management tools and best practices.
• Analyze configuration data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement in project execution.
• Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure that configuration management practices meet regulatory and safety requirements.
• Participate in project meetings to provide updates on configuration management status and address any related concerns.
• Support the development of automated tools and processes to enhance configuration management efficiency.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations related to configuration management activities for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in configuration management or a similar role within the aerospace or engineering sectors.
• Strong understanding of configuration management principles and practices, including change control and documentation management.
• Proficiency in configuration management tools and software, such as Git, SVN, or similar platforms.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100 is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated configuration management tools and scripting languages.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Previous experience in the space or defense industries is highly desirable.
• Certification in configuration management (e.g., CMII, CMMI) is a plus.
