As a , you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the contractual agreements that drive our innovative projects in space exploration and technology. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of contract law, as you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with various stakeholders, including government entities and commercial partners. What you'll do
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including but not limited to procurement, service agreements, and partnership contracts, ensuring they meet legal and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and project management, to ensure that all contractual obligations are clearly defined and understood.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments on contractual terms and conditions, identifying potential issues and proposing solutions to mitigate risks.
- Maintain organized records of all contracts and related documentation, ensuring easy access for audits and compliance reviews.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders as needed.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, ensuring that all parties fulfill their obligations and addressing any discrepancies that arise.
- Stay updated on industry trends, legal developments, and best practices in contract management to continuously improve processes and policies.
- Provide training and support to junior staff and other team members on contract management best practices and company policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of contract management tools and systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Participate in negotiations with external partners, representing the interests of Lunaroutpost while fostering positive relationships.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management regarding contract status, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Engage with external legal counsel when necessary to ensure that all contracts are compliant with current laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field; a Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD) is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management or a similar role, preferably within the aerospace or technology sectors.
- Strong understanding of contract law and regulations, with the ability to interpret complex legal language.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating contracts, with a track record of successful outcomes.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to assess risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
Nice to have
- Experience with government contracts and familiarity with federal acquisition regulations (FAR).
- Certification in contract management, such as Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or similar credentials.
- Knowledge of the aerospace industry and its regulatory environment.
- Experience in project management methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with negotiation techniques and strategies.
