About the role
Lucid Motors is seeking a Staff level Global Supply Chain Manager to create and execute procurement strategy for battery pack enclosures and cells. This role manages all company business related to Lucid's prismatic cell and pack enclosure supply base globally. It ensures supply continuity and launch success while balancing performance, sustainability, and cost effectiveness. The Staff GSM serves as the key internal interface with Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Quality, and Manufacturing to deliver world class products on time. The successful candidate will help establish global supply chain strategy, support cross-functional teams during development and industrialization, and drive sound business decisions across the product life cycle. You will synthesize market intelligence and regulatory shifts to shape sourcing strategies for battery cells while implementing risk controls to spot geopolitical, quality, or capacity issues early in the pipeline. This position requires a partner who can navigate complex supplier networks and align engineering forecasts with commercial realities to secure long term value. You will guide cross-functional reviews during development phases to align supply plans with ambitious product roadmaps and timelines. Ultimately, this role owns the integrity of the supply chain from cell to enclosure, ensuring that Lucid's "Compromise Nothing" philosophy is realized in every vehicle delivered.

What you'll do
- Map supplier networks for prismatic cells and enclosures while aligning with engineering forecasts to ensure material availability.
- Design commercial terms and governance models that bind value across cost, quality, and delivery for strategic battery suppliers.
- Establish clear key performance indicators to track vendor quality, on-time delivery, and cost metrics worldwide with transparent reporting.
- Coordinate with logistics and manufacturing teams to secure material flow, reduce disruption risks, and maintain production integrity.
- Partner with finance to model total cost scenarios and validate contract structures that unlock sustainable savings over the product life cycle.
- Guide cross-functional reviews during development phases to align supply plans with product roadmaps and critical launch milestones.
- Implement risk controls to spot geopolitical, quality, or capacity issues early in the pipeline and trigger mitigation plans swiftly.
- Synthesize market intelligence and regulatory shifts to inform sourcing strategies for battery cells, ensuring compliance and competitiveness.
- Drive supplier development programs that enhance capability, reduce defects, and improve resilience across the battery supply base.
- Lead negotiations and strategic discussions to balance value, terms, and resilience for critical battery inputs under varying market conditions.
- Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to translate technical requirements into clear supply chain specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Monitor end to end supply chain performance, escalating issues as needed and steering corrective actions to protect launch commitments.
- Leverage data analytics to assess supplier performance trends, identify root causes of deviations, and recommend actionable improvements.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, trade offs, and execution tactics.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that optimize cost, efficiency, and service levels across the prismatic cell and enclosure ecosystem.
- Champion sustainability and responsible sourcing principles in supplier selection and contract development where applicable.
- Act as the primary point of contact for supply related inquiries from cross functional partners during new product introductions.
- Ensure documentation of supply chain decisions, assumptions, and rationales to maintain institutional knowledge and audit readiness.
Requirements
You must bring three to five years managing complex battery supply chains in automotive or related sectors with a strong track record. You must handle prismatic cell and enclosure relationships while coordinating global sourcing strategies and supplier networks. You must analyze supplier performance using data and drive corrective actions to keep launches on track and mitigate risk. You must negotiate contracts that balance value, terms, and resilience for critical battery inputs while safeguarding operational continuity. A high level of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to ethical sourcing standards is essential for success in this role. You must be comfortable working in a fast paced, matrixed environment where priorities evolve with business needs and market dynamics. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to interact effectively with internal teams and external partners around the world. You must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining rigorous standards for accuracy and follow through.

Experience with demand planning and inventory optimization in manufacturing environments is valued as it supports more accurate forecasting and risk mitigation. Exposure to battery cell technologies and enclosure design principles can further enhance effectiveness in this position.
