About the role
You will own the end-to-end maintenance strategy for production equipment and systems in the Saudi Arabia facility. This role requires you to translate the Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity ambition into flawless execution on the factory floor. You will be responsible for ensuring that equipment reliability and uptime directly support the company's uncompromising production and quality goals. The position demands a partnership with engineering and manufacturing teams to validate equipment readiness and performance. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives that eliminate recurring failures and enhance operational excellence. Your leadership will be critical in building a technically capable and high-performing maintenance organization. You will ensure that all maintenance activities uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

What you'll do
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for general automation equipment and production systems.
Ensure all equipment is maintained to meet strict safety, quality, and operational standards at all times.
Oversee maintenance execution to maximize equipment uptime and minimize unplanned downtime across all shifts.
Establish detailed maintenance schedules aligned with production requirements and new product launch timelines.
Support new program launches by ensuring equipment installation, commissioning, and readiness for production.
Partner with Manufacturing Engineering during equipment handover and validation phases to ensure seamless integration.
Ensure maintenance readiness for new product introduction and production ramp-up activities.
Participate in equipment acceptance tests including SAT and FAT activities and commissioning procedures.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Maintenance Engineers, Technicians, and Specialists to enhance technical capabilities.
Define clear priorities and allocate resources effectively across shifts and production schedules.
Build technical capability within the maintenance team to support advanced manufacturing systems and technologies.
Drive accountability and performance management within the maintenance organization to meet operational targets.
Monitor equipment performance and drive improvements in Mean Time Between Failures and Mean Time To Repair.
Lead structured root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency, reliability, and lifecycle management.
Track and report key maintenance KPIs including uptime, downtime, response time, and cost efficiency metrics.
Identify gaps in maintenance performance and implement targeted improvement plans in collaboration with production.
Support production teams to achieve overall plant throughput and efficiency targets through reliable equipment operation.
Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in strict compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with lockout tagout procedures and safe work practices.
Requirements
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
You bring a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing or production environment.
You possess demonstrated experience managing maintenance teams and leading technical professionals.
You have a strong background in preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for complex production equipment.
You are proficient in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and other maintenance tracking tools.
You have experience supporting new equipment installation, commissioning, and validation activities.
You understand manufacturing processes and production scheduling within a high-volume environment.
You are fluent in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication across global teams.
You have a proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing setting.
You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead root cause analysis efforts.
You have experience managing maintenance budgets and controlling maintenance costs effectively.
You are capable of leading shift maintenance coverage and ensuring operational continuity across multiple shifts.
You have a strong commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental standards.
You show the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You are comfortable using data to drive decisions on equipment performance and maintenance effectiveness.
You have experience applying lean maintenance principles to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
You have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines in a production-critical role.
You have strong documentation skills to maintain maintenance records, procedures, and work logs.
You are willing to support occasional travel within the region as required for operational support.
Nice to have
Preferred experience in the automotive or high-tech manufacturing sector.
Demonstrated experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, IoT sensors, and data-driven maintenance.
Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems and digital twin concepts.
Experience with reliability-centered maintenance methodologies.
Familiarity with global equipment standards and export compliance requirements.
Experience supporting rapid production ramp-up in greenfield manufacturing facilities.
Practical notes
This is a full-time position based in Saudi Arabia.
The role may require occasional travel within the region for operational support.
Visa and relocation support will be provided as required for eligible candidates.
