About the role

Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. Global Supply Manager to support the BIW (Body In White) Team in driving world class products on time and cost effectively. The hire will manage all company business with a group of suppliers and serve as the key internal interface with Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Quality and Manufacturing. They will help establish the global supply chain strategy and support cross-functional teams during the development and industrialization phases. The role requires driving sound business decisions throughout the product life cycle and identifying, developing, and managing the global Supply Chain. This position demands collaboration with Engineering and Supplier Quality to find suppliers that meet Lucid's expectations and timeline while balancing multiple priorities. The hire will be instrumental in resolving problems and driving successful solutions through teamwork and analytical thinking.

What you'll do

Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify potential suppliers with the right qualifications to meet Lucid's expectations and timeline.

Create RFQs, review, analyze and clarify quotations from suppliers and develop sound sourcing and business recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead time and technical considerations.

Thoroughly negotiate favorable contracts including parts pricing, tooling costs and Engineering Services (NRE / EDT).

Work with suppliers and Engineering to release parts into production and issue POs for Prototype Parts and Prototype/Production Tooling.

Manage supplier development and tooling timelines, part availability for prototype builds/start of production and develop solutions to delays or problems that arise.

Maintain overall supplier relationships and act as point of contact for all commercial issues, including internal report-outs summarizing sourcing status, parts availability and cost status.

Travel 15-25% to visit suppliers to perform business and program reviews.

Perform detailed data analysis to support decision making on sourcing strategies and supplier performance.

Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the supply base to enhance quality, delivery, and cost metrics.

Lead cross-functional workshops to align on supply chain strategy and resolve complex supplier issues.

Monitor market trends and supplier capabilities to anticipate risks and opportunities for the business.

Support the development of supplier qualification processes and standards to ensure robust onboarding and evaluation.

Coordinate with Logistics and Manufacturing to ensure timely material flow and alignment with production schedules.

Provide clear and concise status updates to senior leadership on supply chain performance and key milestones.

Drive execution of supplier audits and corrective action plans to ensure compliance and quality standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance or related field required. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

5 years' experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, OR Engineering.

Understanding of body design and extensive experience in sourcing two or more of the following commodities: paints, coatings, adhesives (structural, bonding, sealing), baffles, castings and extrusions.

Product launch experience preferred.

Understanding of quality principles, product development processes, and data analysis.

Able to show teamwork to resolve problems and a thought process to drive successful solutions.

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Passion for results, strategy, and hands on execution.

Creative, calculated risk taker with the ability to manage complex suppliers and resolve disputes while preserving relationships with suppliers and internal staff.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Commitment to strict confidentiality and data security in handling sensitive supplier information.
