What you'll do
Define project direction in collaboration with clients and engineers, establishing scope and deliverables early in the project lifecycle.
Organize schedules, budgets, and risk management plans to ensure electrical and mechanical work proceeds on time and safely.
Coordinate materials, vendors, and crews to maintain continuity across critical electrical and mechanical activities.
Guide field teams in site practices, quality checks, and adherence to electrical codes and safety standards.
Manage scope changes with disciplined documentation to protect timelines and stakeholder expectations.
Review inspections, test results, and project documentation to confirm readiness before customer handover.
Deliver project outcomes that meet contractual standards and support long term operational performance.
Partner with maintenance teams to ensure smooth project transitions and enable future collaboration.
Interpret client requirements and convert them into actionable electrical systems specifications for the project team.
Develop detailed work breakdown structures that clarify responsibilities for subcontractors and internal resources.
Track progress against milestones, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions swiftly.
Ensure all electrical installations comply with local regulations, industry standards, and client operational expectations.
Facilitate coordination meetings to align trades, resolve interface issues, and maintain a coherent project direction.
Maintain comprehensive project records, including changes, decisions, and performance metrics for future reference.
Support continuous improvement by applying lessons learned from past projects to current and future engagements.
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
Bring three to five years of project management experience in construction or related trades.
Demonstrate deep understanding of electrical systems, applicable codes, and site safety practices.
Read complex technical plans and coordinate multiple subcontractors efficiently.
Communicate clearly with clients, leadership, and field crews on a daily basis.
Hold an active driver's license and be able to travel regionally as required.
Pass pre employment screening and background checks as part of the hiring process.
Maintain compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements at all times.
Be capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment without compromising quality.
