You will own the complete lifecycle of large scale commercial and industrial construction projects, driving strategic execution from initial planning through final closeout. This role requires you to lead high performing teams across mechanical and structural scopes while balancing client expectations, subcontractor coordination, and company objectives. You will act as the central command point for complex data center, power generation, renewables, mining, and oil and gas construction initiatives. Your decisions will directly influence project safety, schedule integrity, budget adherence, and overall quality outcomes. You will foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and proactive problem solving within your assigned projects. Key facts
What you'll do
Coordinate large scale commercial and industrial construction projects across data center, power generation, renewables, mining, and oil and gas sectors while maintaining strict adherence to scope and objectives.
Lead and develop teams of employees, including Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Coordinators, focusing on clear direction, performance feedback, and professional growth.
Supervise daily field activities to ensure alignment with company standards, safety protocols, and project milestones through consistent observation and communication.
Verify conformance of finished work product by reviewing deliverables and confirming compliance with all contract requirements, specifications, and regulatory standards.
Ensure all safety and environmental requirements are implemented and maintained across the project lifecycle, protecting personnel, community, and company interests.
Coordinate labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources in collaboration with project subordinates and other Loenbro companies to optimize scheduling, cost control, and timely project completion.
Enforce company safety and work rules and policies at all levels within the project team, promoting a culture of compliance and risk mitigation.
Manage budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and resource allocation to keep projects financially sound and aligned with established baselines.
Serve as the primary liaison between field operations, company leadership, and customers to communicate progress, address concerns, and secure alignment on decisions.
Drive project closeout activities, ensuring documentation, inspections, and final deliverables are completed to satisfy contractual obligations and support future operational success.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience, as this provides the technical foundation required for this role.
You must bring a minimum of 8 years of experience managing industrial or commercial construction projects to demonstrate proven leadership in complex environments.
You must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager specifically in the Mechanical field to ensure deep domain expertise.
You are required to reliably commute to the Afton, TX work location, as this role demands consistent on site presence.
You must be eligible for employment in the United States without sponsorship for this position at this time.
You are required to work full time in accordance with company standards and project demands.
You must adhere to FLSA Exempt classification requirements as defined by company policy and regulatory standards.
You are expected to comply with all safety, environmental, and operational policies that govern our projects and sites.
Nice to have
Experience with HCSS Heavy Job or similar job costing program is preferred to streamline financial tracking and reporting.
Experience with P6 or similar scheduling software is preferred to enhance planning, sequencing, and resource management capabilities.
Experience with Viewpoint or similar accounting systems is preferred to support integrated project financial management and reporting.
