About the role
The hire owns the full leadership and execution of multiple concurrent electrical projects from initial planning through successful completion and closure. They are accountable for defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with clients, engineers, and stakeholders. This role requires developing, managing, and controlling comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure objectives are met efficiently. The Project Manager will build and lead high-performing project teams, directing the work of electricians, technicians, and subcontractors to foster a productive and safe environment. They will coordinate and allocate all necessary resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, while managing vendor relationships and procurement activities. The position involves proactively monitoring project progress, budget, and timelines, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies to address issues. The hire is responsible for implementing quality control procedures to ensure strict adherence to electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards on every project. They will also maintain accurate project documentation and prepare regular progress reports to communicate status clearly to clients and stakeholders.

What you'll do
Coordinate and define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to establish a clear project vision.
Develop, implement, and control detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful and on-time project execution.
Build, lead, and manage project teams, including electricians, technicians, and subcontractors, assigning tasks and setting clear performance expectations.
Coordinate and allocate resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, while managing procurement and vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery.
Supervise all aspects of project execution, enforcing adherence to safety protocols and quality standards to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
Monitor project progress, budget, and timelines, taking proactive measures to address any issues or deviations from the plan.
Handle project changes and scope adjustments efficiently, documenting and communicating all modifications to relevant parties to minimize impact.
Implement quality control procedures and conduct inspections to guarantee the highest standards of workmanship and safety on every project.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, reports, and records for audit and reference purposes.
Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to management and clients, ensuring transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct project reviews and evaluations to assess performance against objectives and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Ensure all project deliverables are completed satisfactorily and necessary documentation is provided to clients during project closure.
Prepare and submit final project reports and invoices, facilitating a smooth and professional project closeout process.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to excellence.
Support the overall business objectives of Loenbro by contributing to the successful delivery of critical electrical projects across the national portfolio.
Requirements
Minimum of 5+ proven years of recent experience as a Project Manager within the electrical or related construction industry.
Demonstrated history of successfully managing projects to completion on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards applicable to project execution and site operations.
Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop cross-functional teams, including electricians, technicians, and subcontractors.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills to assess project status and implement effective solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, conducting presentations, and facilitating stakeholder meetings.
Proficient in using project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite to manage project documentation and timelines.
Ability to travel domestically as required by project needs and to work on-site at various project locations.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for this position at this time.
Nice to have
Preferred experience in the electrical or utility industry, demonstrating a clear understanding of sector-specific challenges.
Familiarity with project management methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall, and the ability to apply them appropriately.
Experience with project management software and tools for tracking progress and resource allocation.
Knowledge of underground maintenance and installation practices is highly desirable.
Understanding of fabrication processes and their integration within project workflows.
Practical notes
This position requires domestic travel to various project sites as needed.
