About the role
You will own the end-to-end corporate finance workflow for Life360, driving accuracy and insight from raw data to board-ready narratives. You will partner with executive leadership to frame problems, model outcomes, and translate complex information into clear, actionable recommendations. You will act as a strategic sounding board for cross-functional initiatives, ensuring financial discipline is embedded in every major decision. You will leverage AI tools to streamline repetitive tasks and focus effort on high-value analysis and creative problem solving. You will own the integrity of our consolidated reporting, investor materials, and the assumptions that underpin our long-range planning process. You will collaborate closely with People & Talent on headcount and payroll analytics, owning the data structures that support workforce planning. This role demands intellectual curiosity, rigorous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What you'll do
Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical problems and design the metrics, models, and dashboards needed to drive toward a clear answer.
Build and maintain financial models that support scenario planning, capital allocation decisions, and the evaluation of new strategic initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders.
Lead the monthly close process, coordinating with accounting and operations to ensure timely, accurate, and transparent reporting to leadership and the board.
Partner with the Corporate Finance lead on investor relations and quarterly earnings, owning narrative development, data validation, and presentation materials.
Own the long-range planning process, including multi-year forecasts, headcount plans, and rolling updates that align with business strategy and market conditions.
Develop and automate key data feeds and reporting pipelines to improve accuracy, reduce manual effort, and accelerate decision-making across finance and people teams.
Analyze cash flow drivers and support cash management initiatives, translating operational inputs into financial impacts and risk assessments.
Own the governance of payroll and headcount reporting, ensuring alignment with People & Talent on org planning, cost tracking, and workforce insights.
Synthesize complex analyses into concise executive communications, balancing depth of detail with clarity for senior leaders and external stakeholders.
Embrace an AI-first mindset, experimenting with and adopting AI tools to enhance productivity, validate analysis, and uncover insights faster.
Champion test-and-learn thinking by building prototypes, running controlled analyses, and documenting learnings to refine approaches over time.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities, define success metrics, and translate business goals into financial plans and actions.
Support ad hoc special projects, including M&A due diligence, strategic assessments, and one-off analyses that require deep financial judgment.
Act as an extension of the leadership team by providing data-backed recommendations and facilitating discussions that result in confident, timely decisions.
Requirements
You must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
You must have 3+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or a related role that has exposed you to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
You must be highly proficient in Excel, including complex formulas, data modeling, and dashboard building, with Google Sheets as a core collaboration tool.
You must have experience with at least one modern BI tool (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) to build and maintain interactive dashboards.
You must have a strong understanding of accounting principles, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement mechanics.
You must be comfortable working with large, multi-source datasets and cleaning data to ensure accuracy and consistency in analysis.
You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
You must be highly organized, able to manage multiple deadlines, and comfortable operating independently in a remote-first, fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
Experience with SQL or a query language to interact directly with databases and extract insights.
Prior experience in a consumer technology or mobile app business, including user metrics and growth considerations.
Experience with Python or R for data analysis, statistical modeling, or automation of repetitive tasks.
Experience supporting fundraising, investor relations, or board-level processes in a prior role.
Experience with HRIS or workforce planning tools, such as Workday, BambooHR, or similar systems.
