About the role
The Utah Lending Manager position at LendingTree is a specialized compliance role embedded within the legal department to support the business licensing function. This position serves as the designated owner and steward of the Utah Lending Manager license throughout its entire lifecycle. The role is responsible for ensuring that all regulatory obligations related to this specific licensing requirement are met consistently and without interruption. The Utah Lending Manager acts as the primary liaison between the business operations teams and the legal department, translating complex licensing regulations and compliance expectations into clear, actionable tasks for internal stakeholders. The position requires a thorough understanding of licensing maintenance procedures, the regulatory environment governing loan originators, and the ability to demonstrate the highest standards of financial responsibility, character, and general fitness. These attributes are essential to confirm that the loan originator will operate honestly, fairly, and efficiently in alignment with the legal framework established for this title. This role plays a vital part in supporting LendingTree's fintech operations by ensuring that the company maintains its integrity, compliance excellence, and trustworthiness within the broader lending ecosystem.
What you'll do
You will be responsible for maintaining the Utah Lending Manager license in active status to support the business licensing function continuously. This includes completing the required annual Continuing Education to ensure your knowledge remains current with evolving regulatory changes and compliance standards. You will maintain consistent and proactive communication with the legal department to align on licensing expectations, updates, and any necessary adjustments to internal procedures. A core responsibility is demonstrating financial responsibility, sound character, and general fitness to uphold the standards of the loan originator title. You must ensure you have never had a loan originator license revoked in any governmental jurisdiction, and confirm that you have not been convicted of, or pled guilty or nolo contendere to, a felony within the specified legal timeframes, including any instances involving fraud, dishonesty, breach of trust, or money laundering. You will hold and maintain an active Mortgage Loan Originator license as a fundamental professional credential. Additionally, you will provide documented evidence of at least 3 years of active, full-time licensed lending experience within the past 5 years, along with a minimum of 45 first lien residential mortgages completed. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive compliance excellence and support creative problem-solving around regulatory constraints and business needs. Your role will contribute directly to maintaining the trust and integrity of LendingTree's lending marketplace operations in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet specific regulatory and professional criteria established by the licensing framework. You must be at least 18 years of age or older. You must have never had a loan originator license revoked in any governmental jurisdiction. You must not have been convicted of, or pled guilty or nolo contendere to, a felony during the 7-year period preceding the date of the application for licensing and registration, or at any earlier time if such felony involved an act of fraud, dishonesty, or a breach of trust, or money laundering. You must demonstrate financial responsibility, character, and general fitness to determine that the loan originator will operate honestly, fairly, and efficiently within the purposes of this title. You must hold an active Mortgage Loan Originator license. Within the past 5 years, you must have at least 3 years of active full-time licensed lending experience and a minimum of 45 first lien residential mortgages completed.
