Key facts
What you'll do
- Advise Tomo's prospective homebuyers and guide them through the home financing process from application to closing.
- Partner with internal sales and operations teams to ensure the smooth manufacturing of loans and alignment on priorities.
- Manage a pipeline of warm leads and implement strategies to convert them into closed business better than anyone in the industry.
- Use a creative and solution-oriented mindset to identify solutions that meet unique customer needs while maintaining a consultative approach.
- Maintain strict compliance with investor guidelines to ensure all documents required for Underwriting are complete and accurate.
- Quote rates and guidelines with accuracy and fairness to build trust with clients and real estate partners.
- Master the use of our POS, CRM, and LOS systems to facilitate a more efficient and accurate loan lifecycle.
- Build relationships quickly with all parties involved, including buyers, agents, and internal stakeholders.
- Anticipate problems and needs of customers, real estate agents, or partners to provide proactive solutions.
- Drive the end-to-end journey for buyers, taking them from "hello" to "keys in hand" with world-class execution.
- Utilize industry knowledge of loan products and pricing strategies to position Tomo as a competitive advantage.
- Leverage knowledge of Desktop Underwriter (DU) & Loan Prospector/Loan Product Advisor (LP/LPA) to streamline decisioning.
- Multitask and stay organized while balancing high quantities of transactions without sacrificing quality or compliance.
Requirements
- Must hold an active NMLS MLO License to operate within the regulated lending environment.
- Possess residential mortgage lending experience of 2+ years with a proven track record of successful transactions.
- Demonstrate world-class execution in taking buyers from initial contact to closing, maintaining a fearless pursuit of excellence.
- Excel in verbal and written communication, effectively engaging with clients, agents, and Tomo team members on a daily basis.
- Develop the ability to build strong relationships quickly with all parties involved in the transaction.
- Balance a "hunter" mindset for new business generation with a "gatherer" approach for account maintenance.
- Apply deep industry knowledge of loan products, pricing strategies, and regulatory guidelines in every interaction.
- Handle multitasking scenarios and maintain organization skills while managing a high volume of transactions simultaneously.
- Perceive potential problems and anticipate the needs of customers, real estate agents, and internal partners to prevent delays.
- Commit to driving the vision of building something new by being detail-oriented and focused on long-term quality outcomes.

Practical notes
- Work arrangement is Hybrid, requiring in-office presence Monday through Wednesday, with remote work allowed on Thursday and Friday.

Compensation and benefits
- On-target earnings are approximately $100,000, with uncapped commission potential leading to earnings between $150,000 and $250,000 annually.
