About the role
This role owns the direct delivery of unbiased, holistic financial and tax guidance to employees through remote video, chat, and email interactions. You own the full client journey from initial discovery through to actionable planning recommendations on topics like budgeting, student loans, retirement readiness, equity compensation, debt management, and taxes. You own the responsibility of becoming an expert on our client benefit plans so you can act as an extension of their team during critical open enrollment periods. You own the creation and refinement of financial education by working with our content team to produce outlines, video content, and approve lessons on the LearnLux digital platform. You own participation in weekly team meetings to bring your specialist expertise into the evolution of our digital experience. You own the design and leadership of engagement campaigns for employer partners, including digital webinars and occasional on-site events. You own coverage across various shifts to meet employee needs from 7 AM to 11 PM ET on weekdays and 9 AM to 4 PM ET on Saturdays.

What you'll do
- Provide coverage across various shifts from 7 AM to 11 PM ET Monday through Fridays and 9 AM to 4 PM ET on Saturdays to meet employee demand.
- Meet and engage with clients remotely over video, chat, and email to deliver guidance on budgeting, student loans, retirement readiness, equity compensation, debt management, taxes, and related financial topics.
- Advise on and apply the LearnLux methodology to improve responses to the changing financial environment and evolving client needs.
- Participate in weekly team meetings to introduce your subject matter expertise and contribute to improving the LearnLux digital experience for clients.
- Become an expert on our client company benefit plans so you can function as a seamless extension of their human resources and finance teams during open enrollment.
- Collaborate with our content team to create detailed outlines, video content, and review lessons to ensure accuracy and quality on the LearnLux digital platform.
- Design and lead targeted engagement campaigns for employer partners, including virtual digital webinars and facilitating occasional on-site events.
- Manage multiple concurrent client interactions while prioritizing work effectively and taking direction from multiple team members in a fast-paced setting.
- Maintain a client-first approach by leveraging extensive financial experience to help employees prepare for and accomplish their personal and financial goals.
- Stay current on personal finance, tax law, and digital currency topics to provide comprehensive and accurate guidance during all client interactions.
- Demonstrate the ability to take initiative and execute projects independently with a high bar for quality and attention to detail.
- Utilize experience with company equity compensation structures including ISOs, RSU's, and ESPP's to advise employees on their specific situations.
Requirements
- Must hold a current CFP® designation as a requirement for practicing in this role.
- Must hold a CPA® or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation to ensure tax competence and compliance.
- Must possess a passion for educating individuals so they can take control and invest in their financial future.
- Must have the ability to perform several tasks concurrently, to prioritize work effectively, and to take direction from multiple team members.
- Must demonstrate experience with company equity compensation including ISOs, RSU's, ESPP's, and related tax implications.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to take initiative and execute on projects with minimal supervision.
- Must have experience across multiple areas of personal finance including retirement planning, equity compensation, investments, budgeting, debt management, student loans, cash flow planning, digital currencies, estate planning, insurance, taxes, and more.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require company sponsorship for employment authorization.
Nice to have
- Certification in Credit Counseling from a recognized institution.
- Additional professional certifications relevant to financial planning or tax practice.
- Startup and/or Fintech experience in a previous role.
- Bi-lingual capability in Spanish to serve a broader client base.
- Experience creating presentations and delivering them to large audiences either virtually or in-person.
- Availability to work occasional evenings and Saturdays beyond standard shifts.
- Ability to occasionally travel to on-site events as required by client needs.
