About the role
You will own the end-to-end performance of paid social and search campaigns for Leapsome across European and international markets. This role requires you to manage and optimize campaigns directly on platforms such as Google, Bing, Meta, and LinkedIn to drive customer acquisition. You will be responsible for writing, testing, and iteratively optimizing ad copy and creative assets to ensure continuous performance improvement. You will build out and manage full funnel strategies, moving audiences from Brand Awareness through Consideration and Conversion into Retargeting. You will translate raw data from tools like Google Analytics into clear insights that inform budget allocation and campaign adjustments. You will collaborate closely with Growth, Product Marketing, and Design teams to align messaging and creative assets with business goals. You will take ownership of the creative learning agenda, establishing processes that turn performance data into actionable creative strategies. You will work hands-on with both paid media execution and strategic creative development to maximize high-intent user acquisition.

What you'll do
- Execute hands-on keyboard management of paid search and paid social campaigns on Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and related platforms.
- Build and optimize full funnel media buying strategies, including Brand Awareness, Consideration, Conversion, and Retargeting workflows.
- Write, test, and optimize ad copy and creative messaging to drive higher engagement, lower cost per acquisition, and improved conversion rates.
- Manage paid media budgets with precision, including forecasting, pacing, and allocation across channels to meet performance targets.
- Translate complex data sets from Google Analytics and similar analytics platforms into actionable recommendations for campaign optimization.
- Partner with Growth, Product Marketing, and Design teams to develop, review, and refine campaigns that align with broader acquisition objectives.
- Lead the creative learning agenda by documenting insights, building performance playbooks, and driving iterative improvements in creative execution.
- Write clear and high-converting creative briefs for UGC creators and in-house design teams to ensure alignment on goals and messaging.
- Conduct creative research using platforms such as the Ads Library and deep customer research to identify messaging angles and competitive gaps.
- Explore, test, and integrate AI tools into generative creative processes, ad copy drafting, and media workflow automation.
- Demonstrate strong project management skills by coordinating reviews, managing timelines, and paying close attention to creative details such as transitions, text placement, and hooks.
- Curate and analyze creative performance data to identify winning formats, audiences, and messaging for scaling.
- Maintain organized campaign structures, documentation, and reporting in project management systems to ensure transparency and efficiency.
- Monitor critical performance metrics such as CPA, CVR, and CTR, and implement optimizations to improve results over time.
- Stay up to date with paid media trends, platform updates, and creative best practices to maintain a high level of performance.
Requirements
- Bring 3+ years of professional experience working in a performance marketing team, with a focus on hands-on paid search and paid social execution.
- Demonstrate professional working efficiency at a B2 level minimum in German, including the ability to write high-converting German ad copy.
- Show a strong ability to adapt campaigns for German-speaking audiences while maintaining brand consistency and performance goals.
- Possess a passion for combining storytelling with data to design high-converting ad creatives and audience strategies.
- Have direct experience in directing creative teams, agencies, and UGC creators to deliver on campaign objectives.
- Show solid knowledge of digital marketing technologies, media buying strategies, and performance marketing metrics such as CPA, CVR, and CTR.
- Exhibit outstanding organizational skills and experience working with project management systems to track tasks and deadlines.
- Have hands-on experience using Google Analytics or equivalent analytics platforms to analyze campaign performance and user behavior.
- Maintain an experimental mindset and curiosity about applying AI tools to marketing workflows, copy generation, and optimization tasks.
- Have prior experience with creative analytics platforms such as Motion is considered a plus.

- Experience with creative testing methodologies and optimization frameworks for paid campaigns.
- Familiarity with local European advertising regulations and compliance requirements for digital campaigns.
- Background in SaaS, HR technology, or people management platforms is advantageous.
- Previous work in a fast-growth startup environment where agility and data-driven decisions are essential.
- Knowledge of video ad formats and editing workflows for short-form content on Meta and LinkedIn.
- Experience building lookalike audiences and conducting audience segmentation based on behavioral data.
- Exposure to marketing automation tools and CRM integrations relevant to lead generation campaigns.
Practical notes
- This is a full-time position based in Berlin.
- The role requires availability during standard business hours for collaboration with European and US teams.
- Compensation includes a competitive salary and a pre-IPO equity package, details of which are discussed during the hiring process.
- The position offers 30 vacation days per year plus public holidays, with the option to upgrade to 40 days after an adjustment prorated according to company policy.
