This role centers on owning the operational backbone of our performance media initiatives, ensuring that campaigns run with precision and efficiency. You will be responsible for the hands-on execution and troubleshooting of our paid media workflows, acting as the critical link between strategy and delivery. The hire will manage the full lifecycle of digital campaigns, from initial setup through ongoing optimization, while maintaining strict adherence to timelines and specifications. You will partner closely with strategists and creatives to translate high-level goals into executable media plans that drive measurable results. Success in this position requires a proactive mindset and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and process reliability. You will leverage your analytical abilities to uncover insights that improve campaign performance and contribute to the overall growth of the business. This is a foundational role for someone who wants to deeply understand how paid media operates at scale within a fast-moving consumer brand.

What you'll do
- Support the growth team in planning and executing content across platforms, ensuring alignment with campaign objectives.
- Oversee digital campaigns end-to-end, delivering against agreed specifications from inception to launch and acting as the day-to-day operational contact.
- Monitor budget pacing for campaigns and recommend changes to achieve performance targets while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
- Conduct ongoing optimizations across the campaign lifecycle, including SEM keyword management, social creative monitoring, and other vital functions.
- Collaborate with the team to brief and review creative assets, ensuring content resonates with target audiences and meets strategic goals.
- Track and report on performance metrics, pulling key learnings that the team can use to optimize future content and media allocations.
- Participate in team brainstorms and contribute fresh ideas to drive the goals of the DTC team and the company.
- Support the end-to-end execution of affiliate and UGC campaigns, assisting with asset briefing, offer delivery, and performance tracking across platforms.
- Maintain detailed documentation of campaign setups, changes, and results to ensure transparency and facilitate future optimizations.
- Assist in the management of the creative pipeline, coordinating feedback and approvals to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Perform routine audits of media placements and targeting settings to ensure accuracy and compliance with best practices.
- Communicate proactively with cross-functional partners to resolve any issues that may impact campaign performance or timelines.
- Support the testing of new platforms and audiences under the guidance of senior team members to identify scalable opportunities.
- Compile weekly and monthly performance summaries that highlight trends, anomalies, and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- Education/Experience: Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field; or unrelated degree with 1-3 years of experience.
- Platform Familiarity: Experienced with modern search engines and social media channels as a fluent user.
- Research Skills: Strong ability to synthesize trends and data into actionable insights.
- Organization: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple platforms and workflows simultaneously while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Adept at maintaining high levels of communication with numerous team members and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous internship or other experience involving paid media strategy or digital marketing is preferred.
- Ability to thrive in an in-office environment, working out of our HQ in Durham, North Carolina 4x a week.
- Comfort with contract-based work, understanding the project-driven nature of a 1099 role with an expected duration of 6 to 12 months.
- Willingness to adhere to internal processes and timelines to support the high-speed needs of the Growth team.
- Strong command of written and verbal communication to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
- Capacity to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work under tight deadlines.
- Commitment to learning and applying best practices in digital media operations.

Practical notes
This position is in-office, working out of our HQ in Durham, North Carolina 4x a week.
This is a full-time, 1099 contractor position with an expected duration of 6 to 12 months.
Compensation is listed as $36-$40/ hr.
