What you'll do
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for integration scenarios, ensuring thorough coverage of all functionalities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other QA engineers, to understand integration requirements and design effective testing strategies.
- Identify, document, and track defects using industry-standard tools, ensuring timely resolution and retesting of issues.
- Conduct regression testing to confirm that existing functionalities remain intact after changes are made to the codebase.
- Automate integration tests using appropriate testing frameworks and tools to enhance efficiency and repeatability of testing processes.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects of the code.
- Monitor and report on testing progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders regarding the status of integration testing efforts.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in quality assurance and integration testing, continuously seeking ways to improve processes and methodologies.
- Mentor junior QA engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of quality within the team.
- Engage in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of integration issues, working closely with development teams to implement effective solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives to enhance team collaboration and efficiency.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on integration testing.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles, particularly Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar technologies.
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI, and familiarity with RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Solid knowledge of database testing, including SQL queries and data validation techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
Nice to have
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and their integration capabilities.
