Later is a social media management platform that helps brands plan, schedule, and analyze their content across multiple channels. The Associate Director, Client Strategy will lead strategic initiatives for key client accounts and drive long-term growth. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure client goals are met and exceeded, and it is based remotely serving clients across North America and beyond. You will shape the direction of client engagements and contribute to the company's mission of empowering brands to build meaningful connections with their audiences.

What you'll do
Develop and execute client strategy plans that align with business objectives and growth targets.
Partner with account teams to understand client needs and translate them into actionable roadmaps.
Monitor client performance metrics and recommend adjustments to improve campaign outcomes.
Lead regular client reviews and present strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to identify new opportunities for client expansion.
Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality strategic guidance.
Identify trends in client industries and advise on best practices for social media engagement.
Coordinate with internal specialists to create tailored content and scheduling strategies for each client.
Track client retention and satisfaction scores, proposing improvements to the engagement model.
Support the onboarding of new clients by establishing strategic frameworks and success benchmarks.
Evaluate client campaign results and prepare detailed reports that highlight insights and recommended next steps.
Work with the product team to gather client feedback and relay feature requests for platform improvements.
Assist in the development of strategic frameworks that guide client engagement and long-term account planning.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
5 or more years of experience in client strategy, account management, or consulting.
Proven track record of managing multiple client accounts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, content strategy, and digital marketing fundamentals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to executive audiences.
Experience using analytics tools to measure campaign performance and inform strategy decisions.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple clients and deadlines.
Comfortable working in a remote setting with strong self-discipline and time management.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and compelling manner to non-technical audiences.
Experience managing vendor relationships or working with external partners to deliver client-facing solutions.
Comfortable with a high degree of autonomy and self-directed work in a distributed team environment.
Nice to have
Experience working with a SaaS or marketing technology company is a plus.
Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics platforms used in the industry.
Prior experience leading strategy projects or managing a small team of specialists.
Knowledge of international markets and multicultural client engagement practices.
Background in developing go-to-market strategies or positioning frameworks for new product launches.
Understanding of paid social advertising principles and how they integrate with organic content strategies.
Skills & tools
Proficiency in project management platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, or similar tools.
Experience with data visualization and reporting dashboards for client-facing presentations.
Familiarity with social media analytics platforms like Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or Later.
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data tracking and analysis.
Comfortable with video conferencing and collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, or Teams.
Ability to use design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite for basic client deliverables.
Knowledge of CRM systems and customer lifecycle marketing concepts to better serve client needs.

This is a full-time remote position with no requirement to work from a specific office.
