- Develop and implement comprehensive vegetation management plans tailored to the specific needs of the West Zone Rail Division, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead and manage a team of vegetation specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality performance and professional development.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify areas of concern related to vegetation and develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with overgrowth and debris.
- Conduct regular inspections of rail corridors to assess vegetation health and growth, documenting findings and recommending necessary actions.

Requirements
- Proven experience in vegetation management, particularly within the rail or transportation sector, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, industry standards, and best practices related to vegetation control and management.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of professionals.
- Proficient in project management, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of making informed decisions based on data and field observations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, contractors, and the public.
Nice to have
- Relevant certifications in vegetation management or arboriculture, such as ISA Certified Arborist or equivalent.
