What you'll do
- Lead the development and implementation of service planning strategies that align with Lanes Group's overall business objectives.

- Manage the service planning team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high levels of performance and engagement.

- Prepare and present detailed reports on service performance, trends, and forecasts to senior management, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the allocation of resources, including personnel and equipment, to ensure optimal service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure that Lanes Group remains competitive and innovative in its service offerings.
- Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement in service planning and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in service delivery, maintaining a focus on health and safety.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance skills and knowledge related to service planning and delivery.
- Act as a point of contact for escalated service issues, working to resolve them promptly and effectively to maintain customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in service planning or operations management, preferably within the utilities or construction industry.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and driving performance improvements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with service delivery frameworks and best practices, particularly in the context of utilities or infrastructure services.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day operations.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing service delivery challenges.
Nice to have
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to service delivery in the utilities sector.
