What you'll do
- Lead and manage site operations, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of site teams, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, identifying and addressing any potential hazards.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, incident reports, and project documentation.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that all work meets the required specifications and standards.
- Manage site resources, including equipment and materials, to ensure they are used efficiently and effectively.
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of site activities, ensuring that deadlines are met and resources are allocated appropriately.
- Provide training and development opportunities for site staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying any discrepancies and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates on site progress and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Ensure that all site operations are conducted in an environmentally responsible manner, adhering to sustainability practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in site management or a similar role within the construction or utilities industry.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using project management software and tools to track progress and manage resources.
Nice to have
- Relevant certifications in health and safety, such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
- Experience in working with water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices in construction.
Skills & tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project or similar tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
