Lalamove is looking for a Senior Public Affairs Manager to lead and shape the company's external engagement strategy in the Philippine market. This role sits at the intersection of government relations, public policy, and corporate communications, ensuring Lalamove maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders across Metro Manila. The manager will represent the company in discussions with regulatory bodies, industry groups, and community organizations, advocating for policies that support sustainable urban logistics and mobility. This is a full-time position based in Parañaque, Metro Manila, where the incumbent will work closely with senior leadership to advance Lalamove's public interest objectives.

What you'll do
Lead the development and execution of public affairs strategies aligned with Lalamove's business goals in the Philippine market. Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, policymakers, and regulatory bodies at the local and national levels. Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that may impact Lalamove's operations and advise leadership on appropriate responses and engagement approaches. Represent Lalamove in industry associations, public forums, and policy discussions to promote the company's perspective on urban mobility and logistics. Coordinate with the communications team to ensure consistent messaging across all external-facing channels and public statements. Manage stakeholder engagement programs that foster positive relationships with communities affected by Lalamove's delivery operations in Metro Manila. Prepare briefing materials, policy briefs, and presentations for internal teams and external audiences on matters of public policy relevance. Oversee the preparation of government submissions, position papers, and formal correspondence to regulatory and legislative bodies. Organize events, roundtables, and meetings with public officials to elevate Lalamove's profile as a responsible and engaged corporate citizen. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, operations, and product to ensure public affairs initiatives are grounded in operational realities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field from a recognized university. A minimum of eight years of progressive experience in public affairs, government relations, or public policy roles, preferably within the logistics or technology sector. Demonstrated track record of building and sustaining relationships with government officials and regulatory agencies in the Philippines. Strong understanding of the Philippine political landscape, legislative process, and regulatory framework affecting the transport and logistics industries. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Filipino, with the ability to craft compelling policy narratives. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and navigate complex stakeholder environments with discretion and professionalism. Experience in preparing policy briefs, position papers, and other advocacy materials for government and regulatory audiences. Willingness to travel within Metro Manila and occasionally to other provinces for meetings and stakeholder engagements.
Nice to have
Prior experience working with a multinational company or a fast-growing technology firm operating in the Philippine market. Familiarity with urban mobility, last-mile delivery, or gig economy policy discussions at the national or local government level. Existing network of contacts within Philippine government agencies, congressional offices, or industry associations related to transport and logistics. Background in community engagement or corporate social responsibility programs that intersect with public affairs objectives.
Skills & tools
Proficiency in stakeholder mapping and relationship management frameworks for government and public sector engagement. Strong analytical skills for tracking legislative developments, regulatory changes, and policy trends affecting the logistics sector. Ability to draft clear and persuasive policy documents, briefing notes, and advocacy materials for diverse audiences. Experience with media relations and public communications strategies in a corporate or advocacy context. Knowledge of project management methodologies to coordinate multi-stakeholder initiatives and public affairs campaigns. Familiarity with data analysis tools and reporting platforms to measure the impact of public affairs activities and stakeholder engagement.
Practical notes
This role is based in Lalamove's office in Parañaque, Metro Manila, and requires regular in-person attendance during standard business hours. The Senior Public Affairs Manager will report to the head of public affairs or a similarly senior executive within the company's Philippines operations.
