This position involves partnering directly with the Managing Director and cross-functional leaders to shape key business decisions and drive sustainable growth. What you'll do
1 Develop and present strategic recommendations to the Managing Director and senior leadership team
2 Analyze market trends and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities in Mexico
3 Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, marketing, and product to align on business priorities
4 Build financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation
5 Conduct deep-dive analyses on business performance metrics and translate findings into clear narratives
6 Support the Managing Director in evaluating new markets, partnerships, and expansion initiatives
7 Design and maintain dashboards that track key performance indicators across the business
8 Lead workshops and strategy sessions with stakeholders to define priorities and action plans
9 Monitor industry developments and regulatory changes that could impact business operations in Mexico
10 Create presentations and reports that communicate complex strategic insights to non-technical audiences
11 Partner with data teams to ensure analytical frameworks are rigorous and consistently applied
12 Contribute to the annual planning cycle by providing evidence-based input on goals and targets
13 Evaluate the financial impact of strategic initiatives and present trade-off analyses to decision-makers
14 Work closely with the operations team to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
Requirements
1 Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related quantitative field is required
2 Strong analytical mindset with demonstrated experience working with large datasets and building financial models
3 Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish are essential
4 Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with competing priorities in a team setting
5 Comfort with ambiguity and a self-directed approach to problem-solving in fast-paced settings
6 Experience presenting findings and strategic recommendations to senior leaders or executive stakeholders regularly
7 Familiarity with business strategy frameworks such as Porter's Five Forces or SWOT analysis
8 Minimum of five years of experience in a strategy, consulting, or business operations role
9 Proven track record of delivering high-quality analysis under tight deadlines in a demanding business environment
Nice to have
1 Prior experience working at a technology or logistics company in a Latin American market is valuable
2 Knowledge of the local Mexico City business landscape and regulatory environment is helpful
3 Experience with A/B testing or experimentation frameworks to validate strategic hypotheses before launch
4 Background in management consulting or investment banking with a focus on emerging markets
5 Experience working with geographic information systems or location-based data to inform market entry decisions
Skills & tools
1 Proficiency in Excel for advanced modeling, pivot tables, and scenario analysis
2 Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Looker
3 Familiarity with SQL for querying and extracting data from relational databases
4 Strong command of PowerPoint for building compelling executive presentations and decks
5 Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and automation tasks
6 Understanding of financial statements, unit economics, and key business performance metrics
7 Awareness of product development lifecycles and how strategic decisions intersect with product roadmaps
